1.Social Structure: An organization is fundamentally a social entity, made up of individuals who interact
with one another to achieve common objectives. Interactions and relationships form a social structure.

My example ;

In company the manager wants to grow or level up their sales so that they decided to interact with
another company as they partner and they have dealing about what they want to achieve.

2.Goal-Oriented: Every organization is established with specific goals or objectives in mind, be it

generating profit, serving a community, promoting a cause, or conducting research.

My example:

For example they have a plan of what they need to do and they are the saled manager who set a series
of challenges to encourage learning and development. A team sports coach, for example, not only
focuses on the overall goal of winning, but may also give each member of the team different individual
goals.

3.Systematic Arrangement: Organizations are characterized by a structured, systematic arrangement

where roles, responsibilities, and tasks are clearly defined.

My example :

Every employee has their own responsibilities and task for example the manager are responsible in
planning ,organizing, leading, controlling, decision making and effective communication.

4.Division of Labor: To function efficiently, organizations usually adopt a division of labor. This means
that tasks are divided among individuals or departments based on their expertise, skills, or function.

My example:

In division of labor is a fundamental principle that contributes to the effectiveness and efficiency of
organizations, but it must be managed thoughtfully to maximize its benefits while addressing its
potential challenges.

5.Coordinated Effort: The success of an organization often hinges on its ability to coordinate the diverse
efforts of its members effectively. This ensures that the various tasks and functions come together
cohesively to achieve the organization's goals.
My example:

A large manufacturing company is launching a new product line of electric vehicles (EVs). To successfully
introduce this new line, various departments within the organization need to collaborate effectively.

6.Hierarchy: Most organizations have a hierarchical structure with different levels of authority and
responsibility. This helps in clear decision-making, direction, and control.

My example

A large corporation with multiple divisions is launching a new project aimed at expanding its market
presence internationally.

7.Continuity: Organizations are generally not temporary entities. They are created with the aim of
continued existence, evolving and adapting as necessary to remain relevant and effective.

My example

A medium-sized technology company is committed to ensuring business continuity in the event of

unforeseen disruptions, such as natural disasters, cyberattacks, or pandemic-related challenges.

8.Adaptive and Dynamic: While organizations seek continuity, they also exist in changing environments.
Therefore, they must be adaptive and dynamic, responding to external challenges and opportunities.

For example

A software development company is known for its adaptability and dynamic approach in an ever-
evolving tech industry. In this scenario, the software development company's adaptability and dynamism
are essential for staying competitive in the fast-paced tech industry. By embracing agile methodologies,
fostering innovation, and maintaining a customer-centric approach, they can swiftly respond to new
opportunities and challenges, ensuring their continued success.

9.Formal and Informal Elements: Beyond formal structures and rules, organizations also consist of
informal relationships and networks that influence its functioning. Both formal and informal elements
play crucial roles in an organization's culture and operations.

A medium-sized marketing agency with a formal organizational structure is striving to balance the
formal and informal aspects of its work environment.Balancing formal and informal elements in this
marketing agency allows it to benefit from the structure and guidelines provided by the formal elements
while fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and flexibility through the informal elements.
10.Shared Values and Culture: Members of an organization often share common values, beliefs, and
norms which shape its culture. This culture influences behavior, decision-making, and the overall
approach to achieving the organization's objectives.

My example

A tech startup known for its strong shared values and culture that promote innovation, collaboration,
and a focus on customer satisfaction. The shared values and culture in this tech startup not only guide
how employees interact with one another but also influence their approach to work and decision-
making.
