I. OBJECTIVES At the end of the lesson, learners are expected to:

1. identify things and people in a park and what they do,


2. write the simple past tense form of irregular verbs,
3. complete sentences with the simple past tense form of irregular verbs,
4. answer questions with the simple past tense form of irregular verbs.

A. Introduction
Review
Asking the students to differentiate the fininte and non finite verbs.
Motivation
1.The teacher will show the students a picture of the park related to the park.
2. The teacher will give a scenario to the students so that they form sentences about the pictures
using the simple past tense form of the irregular verbs.
Example: • Jordan went to the park last Sunday. He ran along the path. He felt tired but happy.
3. If the students can’t create their own sentence the teacher will ask the students what are the
actions the see in the picture, then the teacher will provide the base form of certain irregular verbs
and write them on the board. The students will form their own sentences using the helping words
and pictures provided. The teacher will ensure that the past tense is used by giving the students a
scenario.

From the verbs gathered from the previous activity,fill in the T-Chart by regular on the left side and
irregular verbs on the right sides.

1. How did you know that a past tense form of the verb is regular or irregular verbs?
