NARRATIVE REPORT ON BRIGADA ESKWELA VIRTUAL KICK- OFF

S.Y. 2021-2022

Pres. Jose P. Laurel National High School is one of the institutions that is in
charge of shaping students into responsible members of society. This is where one is molded into
a better person, one who will be a symbol of the type of learning center where he was raised. The
diverse concerns of school necessitate collaboration with others to complete assigned tasks and
objectives.

But then, the challenges and uncertainties of face-to-face classes brought by


Corona Virus Disease 2019 will not be a hindrance to continue in ensuring that the education
must continue, the school held the virtual kick-off ceremonies via Zoom and Facebook live
streaming on August 23, for School Year 2021-2022.

The virtual kick-off started from the opening video of Brigada Eskwela edited and
composed of Aaron James Mabuyo, MAPEH TEACHER. And Sheena M. Regalado, alumni
followed by the doxology prayer and the presentation of Makabayan Song.
Marissa M. Ramilo, Adopt-A-School Coordinator expressed her welcome remarks
by giving her gratitude to the stakeholders who were able to attend and support the project of the school
to provide the needs of the students for their learning.
 The Statement of Purpose was delivered by Cristina P. Libelo, Brigada Eskwela
Coordinator, which she explains DepEd Order known as National Schools Maintenance Week with the
purpose of preparing the schools before the school opening, which will deviate from the former actions to
the New Normal framework.
The Message of Support was given by the Officer In- Charge School Division
Superintendent, Rogelio F. Opulencia. He expressed his joy about meeting the people again of Tanauan
City that in spite of Covid 19 the people are still here to keep the Bayanihan’s spirit and he reminded
everyone to take care of themselves so that they can be useful for the goal of giving quality education
despite of the pandemic.

The Senior Education Program Specialist on Social Mobilization and Networking, Mr.
Rommel Villanueva, said that the pandemic had given the opportunity to change the system of education
which is proof that despite the New Normal the stakeholders are held hand in hand to help the learners to
continue the learning.

Editha M. Rodriguez, Public School District Supervisor expressed her gratitude and she
encouraged everyone to continue to support whatever projects that the school will do for the welfare of
the Laurelian students.
The Police Lieutenant Colonel, Ariel B. Azurin, expressed his delight at seeing the
people of Tanauan City working together that despite Covid 19 people are still here to keep the
Bayanihan spirit alive, and he promised that whatever project the school does will be supported by
Philippine National Police.

Princess Natividad, Brgy. Chairman of Sulpoc, gave her thanks to the parents, alumni,
other stakeholders, and teachers who continuously give their patience and efforts to provide quality
education for the learners. She expressed her gratitude to the Brigada Heroes who extend their hand in
small or big amounts, financial or physical to make the school’s project possible.

Alumni President, Engineer Amado Dimapilis, said that in the second year of modular
teaching, the Brigada Eskwela as a Deped Project will still continue as well as the Alumni to provide
time, effort, and support in any needs of the school. He also said that this is the time to collaborate,
commit, and responsibility to provide continuous support in the school. As well as the SGC and Alumni
Office, Mary Jane L. Burgos, expressed her gratitude and encouraged everyone to continue their support
to give ease in giving quality education.

Indeed this, Virtual Brigada kick-off is not just a matter of compliance but a matter of a goal
that despite this New Normal, no one can stop the stakeholders to give their full potential to help in
achieving the school’s mission and that is to provide an education and skills that can be brought wherever
they went in the outside world of the school.
