1. SCHOOL POLICY.
School policy is defined as the set of established expectations for specific

behavior and norms within a school. School policies are put in place to guide
the day-to-day functioning of the school as well as to make it safe and an
effective place for learning.
2. ROLE OF PARENTS IN THEIR CHILD’S EDUCATION IN THE FACE TO

FACE CLASSES
Parents play a vital role in the success of the learners not only in the
lessons they learn from the teachers, but also in the guidance to nurture
holistically developed individuals.
3. WORK ARRANGEMENT IN DEPED DURING THE IMPOSITION OF

ALERT LEVEL I SYSTEM FOR COVID-19 RESPONSE
This memorandum provides for the work arrangements in the Department of

Education in compliance with Memorandum Circular No. 96 dated February 28,
E. Agenda: 2022 on the Required On-Site Workforce in Government Agencies and
Instrumentalities Under the Alert Level System, issued by the Office of the
President.

5. GUIDELINES ON THE PROGRESSIVE EXPANSION OF FACE-TO-FACE

CLASSES
These guidelines seek to provide guidance to schools on the mechanisms and

standards of the Face to Face classes and ensure their effective, efficient, and safe
implementation. This is anchored on the same shared responsibility principle which
was introduced and adopted during the pilot implementation as reflected in the
DepEd-DOH Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) No. 7, s. 2027 titled, Operational
Guidelines on the Implementation of Face to Face Learning Modality.

a. Child Find Policy for Learners with Disabilities towards inclusive Education
The Department of Education (DepEd) has issued the “Child Find”
policy for learners with disabilities toward inclusive education to
increase their participation and ensure access to quality and equitable
education. Signed by Undersecretary Annalyn Sevilla acting as the
Officer-in-Charge, the DepEd Order No. 23 series 2022 was issued
containing the policy which articulates the processes in ensuring that
learners with disabilities are identified, located, and evaluated to
facilitate their inclusion in the general basic education school system
b. Dissemination of the revised school safety assessment tool for the progressive
expansion of the face to face classes
The Department of Education (DepEd) has revised the School Safety

Assessment Tool (SSAT) to mobilize and prepare the schools for the safe,
effective and efficient conduct of the progressive expansion of face to face
learning.
Ensure that the health, safety, and well-being of our learners, teachers, and
E. Agenda: personnel remain as our utmost priority. Our revised SSAT will help the
Department mobilize the progressive expansion of our face to face classes in
areas under Alert 1 and 2,” Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones said.
The School Safety Assessment Tool was updated based on the monitoring
and evaluation results of the pilot implementation and in consideration of the
schools’ present conditions relevant to safe reopening.
c. Implementing Guidelines on the Conduct of Remedial and Advancement Classes

During Summer for the K to 12 Basic Education Program.
The Department of Education (DepEd) adopts the enclosed Implementing

Guidelines on the Conduct of Remedial and Advancement Classes During
Summer for the K to 12 Basic Education Program. This is in line with the
implementation of Republic Act No. 10533 otherwise known as the
Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013.
