Good Day Everyone!

I am Loriegie Asug, taking Bachelor of

Technical Vocational Teacher Education. Here I am to tell about
Motorcycle Maintenance Tips.
and What are some important maintenance and servicing tasks
that should be regularly performed on motorcycles to ensure
their optimal performance and longevity?
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your
motorcycles, several important maintenance and servicing tasks
you should perform regularly including:
1. REGULAR OIL CHANGES
2. AIR FILTER CLEANING REPLACEMENT
3. SPARK PLUG INSPECTION/REPLACEMENT
4. CHAIN MAINTENANCE
5. TIRE INSPECTION AND INFLATION
6. BRAKE SYSTEM MAINTENANCE
7. BATTERY MAINTENANCE

1.REGULAR OIL CHANGES

Motorcycles require periodic oil changes to maintain proper
lubrication and prevent engine damage. Follow the
manufacturer's recommendations for the oil type and change
intervals.
4 REASONS TO GET AN OIL CHANGE:
1. BETTER GAS MILEAGE
2. REDUCES ENGINE WEAR AND BUIL-UP
3. LONGER ENGINE LIFE
4. PROVIDES ENGINE LUBRICATION
As you can see, keeping up with proper oil changes is quite
essential for the well-being of your motorcycle/car. Just as
humans need water to survive, cars need oil to run properly.
2. AIR FILTER CLEANING REPLACEMENT
The air filter prevents dust and debris from entering the engine.
Clean or replace it as recommended to ensure proper air flow
and prevent engine performance issues. Regularly clean the air
filter on your diesel engine to save your money.
3. SPARK PLUG INSPECTION/REPLACEMENT
Spark plugs play a crucial role in igniting the air-fuel
mixture. Check them regularly for wear and replace them
according to the manufacturer's recommendations to
maintain optimal engine performance.
4. CHAIN MAINTENANCE
The chain needs to be properly lubricated and tensioned to
ensure smooth power transfer. Clean the chain regularly
and apply lubricant as needed, while keeping it properly
tensioned.

Poor maintenance can cause premature wear or damage to

the drive chain and sprockets. The drive chain should be
checked and lubricated as part of the Pre-ride Inspection.
Under severe usage, or when the vehicle is ridden in
unusually dusty or muddy areas, more frequent
maintenance will be necessary.
5. TIRE INSPECTION AND INFLATION
Check the tires for wear, cracks, or punctures regularly.
Maintain the recommended tire pressure for optimal grip,
handling, and safety.
A tire has 3 basic functions: to carry, guide and transmit.
The purpose of tire inspections is to check for tire issues
that can be dangerous for drivers to drive with, such as tire
punctures.
6. BRAKE SYTEM MAINTENANCE
Inspect the brake pads, rotors, and brake fluid levels regularly.
Replace worn-out brake pads and flush the brake fluid as
recommended by the manufacturer to ensure reliable stopping
power.
Without working brakes, your car simply won't be able to stop
in time. This can cause anything from a small fender bender
to a major accident, neither of which is worth the risk.
Regular brake maintenance helps ensure that your brakes
engage every time you press on the brake pedal.
7. BATTERY MAINTENANCE
Keep the battery terminals clean and tight. Check the
battery's charge level and use a battery tender if the
motorcycle is not frequently used to prevent battery drain
and extend its lifespan.
By incorporating these maintenance tips into your routine,
you can ensure that your motorcycle stays in top condition,
providing you with a safe and enjoyable riding experience
for years to come. Remember, regular maintenance not
only enhances performance but also contributes to the
longevity and resale value of your motorcycle.
Thank you for watching ‘till the end, Ride safe riders!
