Exercise 1
The motion of a mobile is characterized by the following parametric
equations: x and y are expressed in meters and t seconds.

x and y are expressed in meters and t seconds.

1. Represent the trajectory in the time interval [0; 3]
2. Determine the vectors, velocity and acceleration. Represent these
two vectors t=1s by specifying the scale.
3. Determine the tangential acceleration at
Exercise 2
The speed diagram, of a mobile moving on a rectilinear trajectory, is
represented on the figure opposite such that at the moment 𝑡 = 0 𝑠,
𝑥 = 1 𝑚.
1. Draw the diagram of the accelerations between the instants 𝑡 = 0 𝑠
and 𝑡 = 11 𝑠.
2. Determine the different phases of the movement by specifying their
natures.
3. Determine the distance traveled by the mobile between 𝑡 = 0 𝑠 and
𝑡 = 11 𝑠.
4. Determine the position of the mobile at the instants 𝑡 = 5𝑠 and
𝑡 = 11𝑠.
5. Represent the vectors on the trajectory: position, velocity and
acceleration at 𝑡 = 5 𝑠

Exercise 3
The parametric equations of motion of a point 𝑀, in polar coordinates
𝑟 (𝑡) and 𝜃 (𝑡), are given by:

Where 𝑟0 is a positive constant and 0 𝑠 ≤ 𝑡 ≤ 4 𝑠.

𝑟 is given in meters, 𝑡 in seconds and 𝜃 in radians.
1. Represent the trajectory of point 𝑀.
2. Determine the radial and transverse components of the speed, as
well as the modulus of the speed.
3. Determine the radial and transverse components of the acceleration,
as well as the modulus of acceleration.
4. Find the angle that the acceleration vector makes with the velocity
vector.
5. Trace, on the trajectory, the velocity and acceleration vectors at
time 𝑡 = 0 𝑠.
