ACADEMIC REINFORCEMENT AND IMPROVEMENT WEEK

Learning Objective: to increase their vocabulary and grammar by picking up new phrasal verbs and modal verbs
that fit into various contexts, and to employ the right modal verb and phrasal verb while describing events
and/or actions from the past and present

Learning Activities
Start the class by explaining the theme of the lesson, which is reviewing English tenses and vocabulary utilizing
communicative language instruction.
 Displays the list of modal verbs and phrasal verbs , then asks pupils to use them in a sentences.
 Ask students to determine the tense in which a given vocabulary word might be employed using a word
bank.
 Gives instances of how learning vocabulary and grammar in context can improve one's understanding of
the language.
 Give each student a worksheet or handout containing fill-in-the-blank activities in the grammar
structures formerly revised..
 As the students finish the worksheet in class, have them go over their responses in small groups before
reviewing them as a class.
 Give out handouts featuring brief conversations or role-playing using phrasal verbs and modal verbs in
their role play
