- Spreading the values of tolerance is the duty of parliament
members, which are deep-rooted in many religions and cultures. It
is also the duty of many executive institutions especially
educational institutions, media institutions, and cultural
institutions
- Spreading the values of tolerance in poor societies will not pay off
without full commitment to fighting poverty, illness, hunger, and
raising the standards of education. These steps are considered the
initial procedures to establish peace for all members of the society
- Establishing peace among all requires making an all-out effort to
ensure the respect of human rights. Moreover, to ensure justices
for individuals, justice in the law business, defending one’s dignity,
achieving equality without discrimination as to sex, religion, race,
color, language, or any other status
- Empowering women and youth and allowing them to be effective
in their societies is one of the best ways to solve many economic,
social, and cultural issues
- Developing national laws to fight discrimination, racism,
sectarianism, and violence is a must
- Establishing international peace and spreading the culture of
tolerance and peace through media, requires developing the
international media law to ensure independent, honest, neutral,

Master and Doctoral Program in Tolerance

Education, one of the main pillars of Tolerance and Peace, should

continuously be worked upon through development of quality
specialized program at the higher education level. These programs
should be designed to meet the society needs from economic,
cultural and community engagement perspectives.
Teaching Tolerance, as new discipline in higher education becomes
vital to nurture and equip graduates with the needed knowledge and
skills meeting the community requirements in order to live together
in harmony and stability. Without tolerance, peace of societies
cannot be maintained, loyalty and acceptance for each other cannot
be established.
So, Higher education has a key role to play in preparing
changemakers, leaders, entrepreneurs, problem solvers, critical
thinkers, and decision makers, ready to face and respond to the
challenges of the multi-cultural present such as violence, terrorism,
aggressive nationalism, racism, exclusion, marginalization and
discrimination.

The program is directed, to professionals in the areas of Human and

Social Sciences, Education, Economic and Administrative,
Communication, and other related, interested in deepening the main
themes of the program, willing to address theoretical and practical
approaches that transcend the disciplinary areas and require inter
and trans-disciplinary approaches.

Paths to a Culture of Tolerance and Peace

Scope of the book

address the issues of contemporary world peace, we should reflect
the importance of refusing violence and adopting peaceful means
for resolving disagreements and conflicts;

others, solidarity and sharing based on a sense of security in one's
own identity and a capacity to recognize the many dimensions of
being human in different cultural and social contexts.

Topics of Interest:

Coronavirus Pandemic – GCTP Response

GCTP opens channels of collaboration with UN and WHO

In the name of the GCTP, H.E. Ahmed AlJarwan, sent a solidarity and
collaboration letter to the United Nations (UN) and the World Health
Organization (WHO). In his letter, the president of GCTP expressed his
deepest sympathy, sincere solidarity and heartfelt gratitude for all
the efforts done by the UN and the WHO regarding the COVID 19
Pandemic. He mentioned that the world is threatened by one
invisible enemy; all our efforts, and all our battles should be directed
to fight COVID-19. Furthermore, we should support and recognize
those new fighters on the front line of this battle, the medical staff
and researchers, and equip them with medicines, ventilators, and
medical equipment as their effective weapons. It is vital, now, to join
forces to stop wars, conflicts, discrimination, and racism, to help the
vulnerable, the disabled and the elderly and to support and
encourage our new frontline fighters. We should all act with faith,
solidarity, tolerance, and wisdom. This is our actual role as tolerance
advocators and peace builders.

COVID- 19 Pandemic – GCTP Response
Happy Labor Day, from the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace.
By H.E. Ahmed Al Jarwan,
President, Global Council of Tolerance and Peace
Happy Labor Day ! From Global Council for Tolerance and Peace
1st of May, the international Labor Day or May day, is
celebrated all over the world to remind us of the sacrifices
of the workers who laid their lives for their rights, and to
acknowledge the importance of workers and their role for
the economic development of any country.

But this year, it is different!

It is celebrated in a special way: digitally via the internet,
the modified approach to life that had become familiar
during the COVID-19 crisis.
It is celebrated in a strange way: many workers are risking
their job, health and living environment because of the
huge risk that coronavirus has posed.

During COVID-19 Pandemic new heroes have showed up on the frontlines, side by side
with the health and medical workers , those are the Transport and Taxi drivers, grocery
store staff, delivery drivers, maintenance workers, cleaners, fire workers, protective
workers, farmers, chefs, sanitation workers and many others risking their lives to help and
support us.
It is very essential to thank those workers involved in maintaining the everyday services
required by society during the COVID-19 pandemic.
On the other hand, the spread of COVID-19 had serious implications not only on the health
but also on the economy. The closure of the business companies, factories, and industrial
establishment has made some workers more vulnerable than before.
Employers and employees should show great understanding and support for each, while
the community is striving to turn a crisis into an opportunity for progress. They should hold
hands during this time, by offering some sacrifice to keep business going and so that more
jobs can be saved. Those workers will remember and return the kindness, serve loyally
and help their businesses survive. They will be in a better position to rebuild when the
economy begins to recover.
It is the responsibility of each one of us to maintain community stability and work on
boosting the conditions for the post COVID-19 Pandemic economic recovery by
responding immediately to the global socio-economic call of action focusing on
epidemic- relief initiatives, recovery plans and programs, and sustainable development
programs.
Let’s Support Businesses, Invest in our workforce, Take care of our people, and Don’t drop
our manpower from the first sign of trouble. Let’s Stay Together and United to Conquer
COVID-19.
Happy Labor Day!

COVID-Nurses,
19 Pandemic – GCTP
the Stars of the COVID-19 Response
Pandemic
on the International Nurses Day.
By H.E. Ahmed Al Jarwan,
Nurses, the Stars
President, Global of COVID-19
Council for TolerancePandemic
and Peace

Every May 12, the world celebrates the International

Nurses Day, to highlight the importance of nurses and
present its gratitude for their incredible work. As
Nurses continue to work on the front lines of the
COVID-19 pandemic, providing high quality and
respectful treatment and care, International Nurses Day
has been celebrated differently this year. Furthermore,
the World Health Organization (WHO) has considered
this year as the International year of the Nurse and
Midwife, under the theme of “Nurses: A Voice to Lead
-- Nursing the World to Health”.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, nurses along with the other health-care workers have
been battling COVID-19 from the frontline, putting their lives on the line, working hard
to save the life of thousands of infected people. They prove to be the lifesavers and the
real heroes of this battle by not only treating patients with COVID-19 but also by
offering other essential health services. They are managing selflessly and tirelessly an
extraordinary workload, by prioritizing infection prevention and control among
patients, visitors, and healthcare providers across all the units of the hospital. They are
risking their own health and too often sacrificing time with their family by putting in
12 to 20 hours per day to help those suffering from COVID-19. While caring for
COVID-19 patients, many nurses get exposed and need to be quarantined, which is an
additional mental and physical toll on them. Those Nurses are working tirelessly to aid
the patients irrespective of all the fears and shorthand of resources.

Nurses, today, are in the spotlight! This pandemic has revealed the importance of their
work! They are the stars of this pandemic across the globe for their exemplary courage,
dedication, and perseverance.

On this day, The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, recognizes the Nurses for
their wonderful and vital job. Our heart goes out to those nurses and their families for
keeping the world in good health. They have crowned their work with their bravery,
compassion and commitment to patients and to community. Without them, we will not
be able to win the battle against outbreaks. Therefore, it is essential that governments
support, protect and invest in their nurses. We have to reinforce the need for investment
