Purpose of the system
 Intended for the protection of any types of fences from an
intrusion by means of climbing over or destroying them and
generate the alarms signal.
System can be used to protect
o barb wire barrier, coil , mesh wire;
o wooden, brick, ferroconcrete, steel barrages;
o metal grates;
o roofs of buildings, hangars, gates;
Operation principle:
 The detector is fully passive. The Signal Processing Unit
registers the electrical charges generated in the sensitive
cable as a result of intrusion attempt. The detector
activates the alarm, if the amount of received electrical
charges exceeds the threshold level.
Detection zone
 The detection zone - part of the fence, where mounted
Tribo-M sensitive element, the offender climbing over
or destroying the fence initiates an alarm.
Distinctive features:
 Early detection of intruder;
 Adaptation of the system depending on the type of
fence;
 Precise replication of perimeter of any shape;
 It is possible to mask the installation on various fences;
 The multi-threshold operation algorithm provides a
high resistance to outdoor disturbances;
 4 independent channels, it allows you to protect
different types of fences or form a single object a non-
standard form of protection zones;
Using a computer
with software:
 Using a computer with software:
- Interference or environmental visualization and analysis in
(vegetation, animals, car, etc.);
- Operating signal (mV) visualization, more detailed
positioning of the transmitter and the receiver;
- Flexible sensitivity settings, applying sensors to the
existing protection zone;
- You can adjust the speed of movement of the offender in
detection zone.
The detector generates
an alarms when:
 an intruder crosses the detection zone. climbing over or
destroying (if the installation has been compliance with all
the requirements specified in the instructions);
 Sensitive element is broken;
 supply voltage is below normal one 8 V up to 31 V;
An alarm is generated by breaking the contacts of
optoelectronic individual point relay (standby mode) for 3
sec minimum.
The detector is functional and
does not generate false alarms
when:
 rain, snow, fog;
 wind loads when wind speed up to 20 m/s;
 UV radiation from the sun;;
 small animals and birds in protection zone;
 the movement of groups of people (5 pers.) 0.5 meters
from the protection zone
 flow of traffic to 5t. LF 1.5 m., HF 6 m .;
 train movement LF 15 m., HF 45 m .;
Tribo-M system design
1. Signal-Processing Unit Tribo-M supports 4 detection zones
2. Non sensitive element. Element is using to connect Tribo-M
unit with sensitive cable. The maximum length of up to 300
meters in one protection zone (also used to bypass gates and
entrances);
3. Connection sleeve designed to connect the sensitive and non
sensitive elements or connect the elements after the cutting;
4. Sensitive element mounted in a special way on the protected
fence. The maximum length of a security zone up to 300 meters;
5. End sleeve provides a continuous monitoring of the sensitive
element and the SPU connecting element integrity.
4 detection zones up to 300 m
Height 2 meter , 2 lines
4 detection zones up to 300 meter
4 protection zones up to 50 meter
Height 2.5 meters, 3 lines
4 protection zones, 3 lines
4 protection zones, 1 line,
up to 300 meters
Fence preparation
 To ensure the required detector stability (unauthorized actions
detection), high noise immunity (actually an utter absence of
false responses) and specified noiceresistance:
- proper fence mounting
- fence must be hard enough, a wire chain fences must be based
on the ropes and fixed well;
- remove branches from the trees and shrubs that may come into
contact with the fence;
- different in accordance with the hardness (tension) of the fence
will be used to segment different protection zones;
- different under the "hardness" of fences must be using different
security zones.
Sensitive element mounting:
 sensitive element must be mounted and equally tight
within the protection zone;
 sensitive element on the fence layout is selected based on
the drawings in the user's manual;
 tightening - up insulation visible deformation;
 fitted to the air temperature - 10 ° C
 sensing element bending radius ≥ 120 mm.
sensing element fixing points every 20 - 50 cm
Metal rob fence
Non sensitive element fixing
 To protect against the possibility of movement
 On the fence and under ground only in protection tube
Connection sleeve
End sleeve
Processing unit connection
Software
 Software for system adjustment is free of
charge and included to Tribo-M unit package in
CD or USB.
 Adjustment can be made separately to every of
4 inputs and can be set different sensitivity.
 Detection operation principle is vibration or
deformation of the fence.
 Can be select operation algorithms and logical
„AND“ or „OR“
 Status parameters - Averaged signal LF band or HF
band: shows a signal from the sensitive element which
registries the processing unit. In our condition LF is about
125 mkV and HF is about 9 mkV .
Select hardness of the fence
 The value depends from the hardness of the fence is
expressed in numbers from 5 to 95, depending on the
hardness of the fence. Wooden fence we select 80.
 Capture the maximum signal from sensitive element
 Look at Averaged signal, and a colleague climb over the
fence online. Visually fix the maximum level of signals. In
our case, it is 6200 mkV.
 Setting response threshold Highest signal is 6200 mkV.
From 6200 minus approximately 30% (to do system more
sensitive). We get 4400. Obtained data entry into the cell
Penetration threshold. Penetration duration set 1
s. Click Apply.
 Check system for the disturbance
 Verify that the system does not respond to an external
disturbance. You can shake the fence, pretending if it is
the wind, finally, like a tree branch. Because for this
example, the level of disturbance is 769 mkV, so the
Penetration threshold (4400 mkV for low frequency LF)
– is enough to avoid a false alarm.
 Setting the system sensitivity for HF
 BE CAREFUL USING HF – because signal is generated
from fence vibration. It can be fence vibration as result of
influence of cars, trains, moving near the fence. Before
you use HF, you need to check influences, that may affect
a protected fence.
