INTRODUCTION
Duck are reared traditionally by poor farmer for their livelihood. Duck production is one component of
integrated farming systems which are regarded as being part of a sustainable development in
agriculture. [BUI XUAN MEN 2010] Thus, the stakeholders not only can develop their livelihoods without
accumulating depts but also can get extra income through off-farm and non-farm activities. [LI THANH
PONG ET ALL 2007] Muscovy ducks a large American tree-nesting duck having glossy greenish-black
plumage in the wild bred in a variety colors as a domestic birds.[www.dartagnan.com] The Muscovy
duck [CAIRINA MOSCHATA] originated in the warm region of south America ,and although a tropical
bird, can adapt to a cold weather condition down to 10f without ill effects. Drake or male, grows from 12
to 15 pounds though the hen, or female is smaller weighing from 8 to 10 pounds-both have what is
called a caruncle-a fleshy, bulbous growth-on the head. This is a breed destruction treats. They are also
quite ducks-the male make a low hissing sound, not full quack and the females make short weak quack
called a pip, which sound like flute. Muscovy also excel at pest control and are very helpful to have
around stables to keep down flies and ticks. Overall this is a friendly and unusual duck that does enjoy
