The first holiday I’ll like to introduce is the Independence Day.
Iceland lost its independence in
the 13th century, and regained independence from Denmark in 1944. This make the independence of Iceland a very important festival for Iceland people. The Independence Day is held in every 17th of June. Parade will take place in numerous locations. And the workers are free to leave their work and enjoy this special day with their families. This anniversary makes it very significant for history-lover, for example, Mr. Norton. Music culture is impressive in Iceland so another festival I’d like to mention is the Solstice music festival. It’s held in June and usually last for 3 days. There are many musicians and DJs are invited to join this festival. These three crazy days are the paradise to the music-lover so if you are interested in this unique festival, this is definitely where you should go. Christmas is also an important festival in Iceland. It’s held on the same day as other countries on December 25. There are 13 Santa Clause and you can see the Northern light. These make Iceland a very special and romantic place for people to celebrate Christmas. The holidays in Iceland might be not tradition, but it’s still special and attractive.
