Self-Discipline and Sense of Duty is an active effort which helps in developing set ways for your
thoughts, actions, and habits empowering your to stick to your decisions.
Uses momentary distractions to replace the behavior one wants to control actively
Exercises gratitude in order to move away from constantly wanting what one doesn't have
and towards appreciating what one has
Sets realistic goals and develops strategies to achieve them on time and in the right way
Measures own progress and takes the necessary steps to accomplish the goals rather than
just imagining the end result
Limits time spent on unproductive activities that keep one from completing own projects
or accomplishing goals
Anticipates problems that are likely to occur with own projects and devises a plan to
handle them as they appear
Reframes mistakes into learning opportunities and keeps pushing towards achieving the
set goals
Nourishes own mind, body, and soul in order to stay in a positive mood and get energy
and motivation to accomplish tasks

Does not take the time to think about what one wants to achieve thus sets unrealistic and
unachievable goals
