Winthrop biology majors to star in documentary

Students show work through Department of Mass Communication documentary

In a documentary produced by mass communication, the students in the biology department are

excited to showcase their research and the hard work. The mass communication students are

filming the biology department research procedures and equipment, and the students are

preparing to become stars.

“I am so proud to be a part of a department that is trying to make a difference in the lives of

people and animals around the world. I can’t wait to see the documentary.” says Margaret

Herring, freshman biology major.

“The documentary sounds like it will be great! The biology department has so much to offer, and

everyone should see that.” says Gwendolyn Tomlin, freshman biology major. The creation of the

documentary is an example of the collaboration between diverse departments.

With enthusiastic students like Margaret Herring and Gwendolyn Tomlin, we anticipate an

inspiring documentary that captures the essence of their groundbreaking work. This

interdepartmental partnership exemplifies Winthrop University's commitment to unity and

progress, and we eagerly await the documentary's premiere to celebrate these aspiring biology

stars.
