The Laphroaig Distillery is located
in the Islay region. It's known for
producing whisky with one of the
strongest flavour profiles. To create
its iconic character, Laphroaig
keeps its processes traditional and
consistent. Perhaps these
consistent, traditional processes
are to thank for the numerous
awards that Laphroaig Distillery
has taken home over the last several decades.

In addition to using the same, non-mineralised water source as it did upon

establishment, Laphroaig attributes its flavour to using their own floor
maltings. Their ages-old recipe also includes only hand-cut peat to help create
the vanilla and smokey essence of the spirit. While the spirit is heavy, its
iodine character helped it become the only legal whisky in the US during
prohibition.
