The Importance of the Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives

It is imperative in every organization to establish its Mission,

Vision, Goals and Objectives. This keeps the organization on track with
its greater purpose by helping leaders navigate competing and varied
interests.
I have been working in DepEd Cebu Province for six years
already, and during these years of experience, I have internalized the
relevance and importance of the Department’s VMGO. The VMGO
serve as a guide and light of every school. They give clarity and
direction to administrators, teachers and students. Without them, the
school will never be able to achieve and attain its desired outcomes.
Implementing them effectively, is one of the steps towards creating a
successful program to deliver quality education to every Filipino learner.
These also help and guide teachers and students to utilize the tools and
resources to understand their interests, identify academic goals and
develop appropriate academic programs.
It is very clear that the VMGO provide a vivid picture of the
school’s values and objectives. By outlining what the school is trying to
achieve, all of its stakeholders will be guided accordingly. Hence, the
VMGO plays a vital role to the school’s success.
