1. Adjective scurte (o silaba)

Comparativul: + er
Big – bigger (mare – mai mare)
ex. My room is bigger than yours.
Tall – taller (inalt – mai inalt)
Ex. You are taller than your brother.
Hot – hotter
Blue – bluer
Small – smaller
Superlativul: + est
Big – the biggest (mare – cel mai mare)
Ex. Our house is the biggest in the neighbourhood.
Tall – the tallest (inalt – cel mai inalt)
Ex. Mike is the tallest child in our class.
Hot – the hottest
Blue – the bluest
Small – smallest
Dry – drier – the driest

2. Adjective cu doua silabe

Comparativ si superlativ:
Happy – happier – the happiest
Simple – simpler – the simplest
Quiet – quieter – the quietest
Pretty – priettier – the prettiest
Careful – more careful – the most careful
Normal – more normal – the most normal
Handsome – more handsome – the most handsome
 3. Adjective lungi (3+ silabe)
Comparativ (more) + superlativ (the most)
Ex. beautiful – more beautiful – the most beautiful
Intelligent – more intelligent – the most intelligent
Delicious – more delicious – the most delicious
Important – more important – the most important

Ex. My dog is the most intelligent dog in the world.
