Unit 4
Presented by To Moniyuth, Chhinh Vathanak, Dong Siengly,
Ngul Kimleng, Meas Satya
I. Pronunciation
We can give words extra stress when we want to emphasize
them
Most people can hold their breath for a bit longer than a
minute.
Putting extra stress on ‘a bit’ can emphasize that most people are capable of
holding their breath for just over a minute on average.
Sara Campbell can hold her breath for much more than a
minute.
Putting extra stress on ‘much’ emphasizes that Sara Campbell in particular can
hold her breath longer than just a minute. It might not exceed 2 minutes, but it
does have a significant increase over most people which is just a bit over a
minute.

Dear Dave
Just a quick email to say the whole Sales Team really enjoyed the
weekend. It was the most (1) difficult thing we’ve ever done, but it
was also great fun. Thanks a million for the (2) most fantastic
experience which we will never forget (even though you said our
shelter was the (3) worst you’ve ever seen)!
Best wishes,
