SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES

We are pleased to announce that the University of the Philippines Mathematics Majors’ Circle,
henceforth referred to as UPMMC, is now accepting applications for the UPMMC Scholarship for AY
2023-2024!

NATURE OF THE SCHOLARSHIP

The UPMMC Scholarship is in line with the organization’s aim to promote scholastic
excellence in the field of mathematics and arouse greater interest in this field of study.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. The applicant must be a Filipino Citizen.

2. Must be a BS Mathematics student of the University of the Philippines Diliman.

3. Must not be enjoying this scholarship simultaneously with any similar scholarship grant with
stipend.

DURATION OF THE SCHOLARSHIP

The scholarship will be for one academic year only unless terminated due to failure to comply
with the terms of the scholarship agreement.

BENEFITS

Semestral Stipend: Php 7,000

CONDITIONS AND OBLIGATIONS

1. The scholar must submit a copy of their grades at the end of the First Semester. They must
maintain a grade of 2.00 or higher in their math subjects and 3.00 or higher in all other
subjects.

2. The scholar may drop at most three (3) units in a semester. In the event that the scholar drops
more than three (>3) units, they must send a letter of explanation indicating the reasons for
dropping the said number of units.
3. The scholar must maintain their good moral character for the duration of the scholarship.
 4. If the scholar fails to meet any of the above requirements, then their scholarship will be forfeited.

5. In case of forfeiture, there shall be no appeal for readmission to the scholarship.

APPLICATION PROCESS

1. Fill out the application form at tinyurl.com/UPMMCScholarshipAY23-24. You will be required

to upload the following:

a. Recent 2x2 ID Picture.

b. Form 5 for First Semester AY 2023-2024.

c. 300-500 word essay telling us why you deserve the scholarship. Be creative!

2. Once submitted, a confirmation email will be sent. Do not delete.

3. UPMMC will notify accepted applicants via email for the next steps.

1. Before answering the form, please prepare the necessary documents required by the scholarship.

2. Please use a valid email address (preferably UP mail) when you answer the form. We will use this
to contact you.
