INTRODUCTION
This presentation shows what it would be like to live life
without computers. Life would be very different without
computers. The person who invented the computer was a
man named Charles Babbage, a british mathematician,
between 1833 and 1871. He designed the Analytical Engine
and it was that design that the basic framework of the
computers we use today are based on.
• It can store vast amount of information
• It saves our time
• It is much quicker to type a letter than to write with
pen
• Using computer save natural resources by limiting our
need of paper and pencil
BY FOLLOWING THE ADVANTAGES (USES)
Education application
➢ Computers are used in schools and colleges to teach students online.
➢ Educational software and presentations are used for effective learning.
Industrial applications
➢ It is used in quality control, market survey and data processing.
➢ It is used in account maintains.
Business applications
➢ Online shopping through internet.
➢ Money transactions, internet banking, ATM banking.
Communication application
➢ Used in satellite communication.
➢ Voice mail increases communication by transmitting voice.
Medical applications
➢ All types of computerised testing like eye testing, scanning , sample testing , X rays etc.
➢ It helps to treat the patients at the earliest.
DISADVANTAGES OF COMPUTER
➢Spending too much time on computer can harm our wealth.
➢Potential of loss of privacy.
➢You could become anti-social or depressed.
➢The improper use of computer can results in injuries of hands, eyes,
necks and back etc.
CONCLUSION

The computer is a tool (and not a perfect one)


tool can be used negatively or positively.
The computer will return associated info that
may or may not be what the user is looking and
may not be true… but it is up to user to sort
(discern for themselves) it all out ultimately.
