Audition Text for Grade 7 & 8

(Afternoon Shift)
Proposition: Victory of a team depends on its captain.

Dear Audience,

Great leaders always lead weak teams to success and victory. They bring out
the best in their teammates. Instead of being all about themselves, their
statistics, and their individual success, they consciously connect their
teammates to their success to help take them to a higher level. They
encourage them to work hard, build their confidence, and keep them going
when times are tough. They create a positive vibe around their team because
they look to build on people’s strengths rather than harping on their
weaknesses. Therefore, victory becomes their destiny.

Dear Audience,
On the other hand, a well-organized and disciplined team doesn’t need a
strong captain to win. Captains are only ceremonial heads. It’s the team work
that leads to success, not the efforts and hard work of an individual. An
individual can play only a small part in the victory of a team. If the team is
not organized, passionate and ardent, no one can lead it to victory. On the
contrary, if the team is strong and enthusiastic, it can easily pave its way to
success. Therefore, we can say without a tinge of doubt that it’s the team as a
whole that can march to victory, not the captain alone.
