# Constellation Whitepaper

## 1. Introduction
Constellation is a community-based eco-system utilizing an AI-powered DAO infrastructure
enabling gifting to foster co-creation and abundance for all. Together we accelerate innovative
communities and organizations to empower the emerging world.

Constellation connects and nurtures projects aligned with our values of conscious living,
environmental sustainability, and self-empowerment.

### 1.1 The Emerging World

We envision a world where humanity collaborates in harmony with each other and the
universe.

Constellation is a decentralized collective dedicated to manifesting the emerging world.

that it's 'you and me.' From competition, we're moving towards cooperation and from
scarcity to abundance. We're moving from a narrative of separation into a narrative of
interbeing, understanding that our wellbeing is intimately connected to the wellbeing
of other people and the natural world. In this sense, our economy, which is really a
manifestation of all our collective agreements about what is valuable, is moving
towards recognizing the value in the planet, social relationships, and personal

### 1.2 Principles
Constellation is built on a foundation of strong principles that reflect in our architecture,
language and interactions.

1. Interbeing: We emphasize human connection, love and trust. Every individual thing,
whether a person, an object, or a happening, is intimately connected to, and is
profoundly influenced by, the entire universe around it. Recognition of the divine in all
that we do, honoring the interconnectedness between human and natural systems. We
encourage intercultural dialogue, understanding, and collaboration among diverse
individuals and communities.
2. Holarchy: We as humans need to encompass all aspects of life and society, including
physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions.
Everything is a holon, an entity which is a whole in itself as well as a part of a larger
whole. We respect both individual parts (agency) and the larger wholes they form
(communion), while acknowledging and appreciating different perspectives,
experiences, and ways of being. We align our actions in coherence with our values,
learning and adapting in harmony towards our united vision.
3. Awareness: Our individual experience arises from our unique awareness of everything
within and around us, everything that is hidden in our subconscious and all that we
express with conscious intention. We strive for awareness and take responsibility for
our perception and the change we are bringing into existence.
4. Gifting: We are devoted to acts of gift-giving. The value of a gift is unconditional. Gifting
does not contemplate a return or an exchange for something of equal value.
5. Self-Expression: We express who we are through our unique individual gifts. No one
other than the individual or a collaborating group can determine its content. It is offered
as a gift to others. In this spirit, the giver should respect the rights and liberties of the
recipient.
6. Constructive Collaboration: The emerging world comes into existence through our
contribution and communal effort. We focus on creation.
7. Stewardship: Foster a long-term perspective and commitment to ecological and social
sustainability, in which the well-being of future generations and nature is prioritized.
## 2. Gifting System

In traditional village societies, the practice of gifting was not just an occasional act but a way of
life. Everyone in the village was aware of the gifts that others had given. The gifting was not
anonymous but was woven into the social fabric, creating a network of relationships founded
on reciprocity and mutual support. It was a system where goods and services circulated freely
without explicit agreements for immediate or future rewards. This cultural norm of gifting
fostered a sense of community, shared responsibility, and mutual trust. It contributed to the
resilience of these societies and formed the foundation of their economic life.

By leveraging the transformative potential of blockchain technology, Constellation enables the

recording and tracking of every gift transaction within a community, creating an indelible
history that can't be altered or denied. This not only serves to ensure accountability and
transparency in the gifting process but also helps build a visible, quantifiable reputation for
each participant, or Co-Creator, in the ecosystem.

Each gift becomes a recorded testament to an individual's contribution to the community,

creating a digital 'ledger of goodwill' that others can reference. The blockchain becomes a
living history of a participant's generosity and engagement within the community. This shifts
the value perception from traditional capital to relational and social capital, allowing
generosity, cooperation, and communal support to become acknowledged and rewarded forms
of wealth

### 2.1 Ways of Gifting

The gifting system is a request-offer model where a Co-Creator's need or request is met by
another's gift or offer. This process involves minting an NFT in each user's profile, leading to
the building of a visible reputation within their wallet. The receiving user should honor the gift
by sending love tokens to show gratitude.

● Individual-to-Individual Gifting: This form of gifting reflects the direct gifting/sharing of

goods, services, skills, knowledge and wisdom between individuals. It includes acts like
helping a neighbor with creating art, digital gifts, housing, transportation, repairs of items,
 teaching someone a new skill, providing bodywork or healing or sharing food. Within
Constellation, financial gifts between individuals are not encouraged.

● Communal Gifting: This type of gifting involves contributions to Portals and their initiatives
with positive impact on society and the planet. For example, donating books to a community
library, organizing a shared garden, participating in a clothes swap event, or contributing to
a community-supported agriculture system. The recipient needs to already be a Portal
within Constellation. Portals are the only stakeholder within Constellation that can
request financial gifts/engage in fundraising/ask for donations (see ##8).

### 2.2 Gifting Sequence

0. Profile

● Upon joining Constellation, Co-Creators specify their expertise and what they want to
offer as gifts. Gifts can be services, goods or currency.
● For services, Co-Creators self-assess their skill level from beginner, experienced or
expert.
● Co-Creators also provide links to websites or 3rd party profiles that show their work
and credibility.

1. Gifting Request

● A Co-Creator specifies a need or desire for a specific resource or service and creates a
gifting request with the help of Pegasus.
● The gifting request includes a title, a description of the need and any relevant
information links or attachments, as well as an optional expiration date or even the
Co-Creator one wishes to receive the gift from.

2. Matching the Gifting Request

● The requesting Co-Creator will get suggestions of Co-Creators who could fulfill the
requirements of the request and can choose the one(s) that should get notified about
the request.
● The offering Co-Creator(s) will then be notified if selected and can decide if they are
willing to help with the request.

3. Delivering the Gift

 ● The Co-Creator fulfilling the request provides the intended gift to the requester,
whether it's a physical item, a service, or knowledge-sharing.
● The delivery of the gift can be done through various means, such as in-person
interaction, online communication, or digital transfer.

4. Acknowledgement and Gratitude

● After receiving the gift, the requesting Co-Creator acknowledges and confirms the
successful receipt.
● The requesting Co-Creator expresses their gratitude and appreciation to the gifter,
through sending a Love Token = 100 Hearts as a form of acknowledging and
confirmation of the gift.

### 2.3 Love Token

The Love Token is the digital representation of the inner subjective experience of gratitude and
unconditional love. Each Co-Creator receives one initial Love Token, with the opportunity to
earn more through active gifting. The Love Token is a purely altruistic currency, with the sole
function of being gifted to express gratitude, sympathy and love.

The Love Token lives on the Constellation Blockchain and cannot be bridged to another
blockchain or exchanged for any other currency. Technically, the only possible interaction with
Love Token is the ability to send it to another wallet.
Love Token has 2 decimals.
0.01 Love Token is called a heart.

Each Co-Creator and Portal Wallet starts with 1.00 Love Token. Transactions are functionally
gasless.
### 2.4 Example Flow

1. Alice, passionate about the sustainable food

industry, gets a helping request via Telegram
from a syntropic farming project, a Portal of
Constellation, that is looking for helpers at their
farm.
2. Alice decides to offer her support to the Portal
by dedicating her time and labor for a weekend
on their farm.
3. The initiators of the Portal (referred to as
"Keys") receive and accept Alice's gifting
proposal.
4. Alice and the Keys coordinate and arrange her
visit through a group chat set up by the AI chat
interface Pegasus.
5. Alice spends her weekend working on the farm,
contributing to the Portal's work.
6. In appreciation of her support, the Keys decide
to send Alice a Love Token.
7. Alice receives the Love Token in her wallet,
feeling grateful for the experience and the
knowledge she gained.

### 2.5 Financial Gifts for Portals

Unlike Co-Creators, Portals have the ability to request financial contributions or donations.
These requests are unique in that they can be fulfilled partially. For instance, a request for a
donation of 2 Ethereum could be partially met with a contribution of 0.5 Ethereum."

### 2.6 Substantial Contributions to Portals

Gifting requests that have a larger impact on a Portal can apply to be validated by the Portal
Approval Circle to mint a special Angel NFT collection. This honors the fact that Portals and
their members might not have enough Love Tokens to reward gifts for a larger amount of gifts.
The Portal has to provide the art for the Angel NFTs and the Portal Approval Circle will
facilitate the minting and distribution.

## 3. Blockchain Architecture

### 3.1 Roles and Definitions

Ambassador - A Co-Co- Creator representing Constellation.
Angel NFTs - Portals that make substantial requests to the constellation community may offer
NFTs as a special reward. See 2.6
Co-Creator - An active participant in the Constellation ecosystem who contributes through
gifting and other collaborative activities.
Gifting Request - A need by a Co-Creator or Portal for a special resource or service.
Key - A Co-Creator that is representing a specific Portal.
Love Token - A digital representation of the inner subjective experience of gratitude and
unconditional love within the Constellation ecosystem.
Open Circle - Heart of Governance consists of 7 anonymous Co-Creators
Pegasus - A cognitive infrastructure interacting to guide Co-Creators through various
processes and computing the backend of Constellation.
Portal - A Project / Initiative that is part of Constellation’s network of the emerging earth,
creating a positive impact on the society and the environment.. E.g. co-living and hospitality
projects, education centers, festivals, and online communities, which are built through or
participating in Constellation. Co-Creators can be part of multiple Portals Just like Co-Creators,
Portals have a profile page that shows their gifting requests, their gifts given, and their gifts
received.

### 3.2 Blockchain User Interface and Experience

Every Co-Creator and Portal within the Constellation network is equipped with a unique wallet
or profile page. This digital interface serves as a dynamic ledger, recording and displaying the
history of gifts received, requests made, and contributions given. It also showcases any
Co-Creator NFT(s) earned through exceptional contributions.

Co-Creators have the freedom to personalize their wallets by adding a nickname or a clear
name. A dedicated description field allows Co-Creators to share about themselves, their skills,
wisdom, and resources they are willing to gift. This information can be listed in a hashtag
format, promoting easy searchability and connection within the community.

The profile page also shows Portals that the Co-Creator is a part of. If the Co-Creator is the
Key of a Portal, this is also visible on the profile.

The wallet serves as the launchpad for the Gifting Sequence, as outlined in section 2.2.
Co-Creators can mint technical NFTs for each gifting request, gifts received, and gifts given, as
well as send Love Tokens directly from their wallets.

It's important to note that the user experience of these Blockchain interactions is significantly
enhanced by the Pegasus AI chat interface (refer to Chapter 4). This interface simplifies and
streamlines the process, making the act of gifting and receiving as intuitive and user-friendly as
possible.

### 3.3 The Constellation Blockchain

Built on the ThreeFold Network, the Constellation Blockchain is a gasless fork of Ethereum
that records all gifting requests and successful gifts. The Constellation Blockchain is also the
home of Love Token.
Furthermore, it serves as a backbone for the governance of Constellation, enabling a liquid
democracy-based voting system.

## 4. Pegasus (draft)

### 4.1 The Cognitive Infrastructure and User Interaction Interface

Pegasus serves several roles within the Constellation ecosystem, functioning as a chat
interface, personal wallet manager and matchmaker.

As a personal wallet manager, Pegasus streamlines all wallet-related interactions. It diligently

monitors Love Token balances, maintains a comprehensive record of transaction history, and
manages the gifting process, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
Simultaneously, Pegasus embodies the role of a data aggregator. It harnesses the power of AI
to gather and synthesize user data from individual and group chats on Telegram, where it has
been granted access. This capability empowers Pegasus to gain a deeper understanding of
user behaviors, preferences, and needs, which it leverages to enhance the overall user
experience. It can also generate personalized user profiles, enabling more targeted and
relevant interactions.

In its essence, Pegasus transcends the traditional boundaries of an AI chat interface. It serves
as a sophisticated tool that not only simplifies access to Constellation services but also
personalizes the user experience by intuitively understanding and responding to user behavior.

### 4.2 Simplifying User Experience

Pegasus simplifies the user experience through replacing complex wallet management with
simple chat interactions. Co-Creators simply tell Pegasus what they want to do, and Pegasus
either takes the necessary action in the backend and/or asks for further necessary information.
It tracks Love Token balances, oversees transaction histories, and facilitates the process of
sending and receiving gifts. These features are designed to make wallet management as
straightforward and intuitive as possible.

In essence, Pegasus serves as a vigilant custodian, keeping users informed and updated about
their wallets. It provides pertinent information such as the history of gifts given and received,
as well as the current balance of Love Tokens. Pegasus, therefore, plays an indispensable role
in enhancing user experience within the Constellation ecosystem.

### 4.3 Cognitive Infrastructure

Pegasus is more than an AI chat interface; it serves as the front end of the DAO, facilitating
user interactions with ease. Designed to understand the architecture and logic of Constellation,
it guides Co-Creators through various processes, including gifting and voting, using a simple
chat input system.
Pegasus is on the path to evolve into a cognitive infrastructure that integrates several AI
agents to provide valuable information and actions for Constellation.

The Pegasus AI chat Interface and its feature as a cognitive infrastructure are integral
components of Constellation's structure.
### 4.4 Future Possibilities
As part of its future roadmap, Pegasus aims to implement deeper personal profiling for
Co-Creators, leveraging a decentralized private data storage. This enhanced profiling will
foster more precise matchmaking and bolster personal development.

As we are heading into a future where the role of AI is evolving, with its cognitive architecture
Pegasus is ready to technologically adapt to user behavior, new standards and possibilities.

## 5. Governance

### 5.1 Open Circle and Governance Organs

The Open Circle is the most encompassing body in the Constellation holarchy.
Its role is to instate governance organs in specific areas.

Initially, Constellation has three such governance organs:

- The Conflict Resolution Circle (See 5.3)

- The Genesis Circle (See 5.4)
- The Portal Approval Circle (See 5.5)

The Open Circle can instate further governance bodies as necessary.

These circles are inclined to hold public votings on important matters affecting Constellation as
a whole, or drastically affecting a smaller group or single members within Constellation.

In those votes, every Co-Creator has the opportunity to cast their vote or pass it on to another
Co-Creator.

Members can appeal to the governance circles on any topic. The circle chooses how to handle
the appeal including choosing to put up the appeal to a voting.
### 5.2 Transparency and Fairness
All circle meetings are to be recorded and published on the Constellation Discourse Forum.
This is also the place to publicly discuss governance matters.

Co-Creators that disagree with a circle’s actions can appeal to the Open Circle to replace a
Co-Creator that is part of such a circle in the spirit of a “vote of no confidence”.
The Open Circle might choose to hold a public vote on the matter or might take the decision on
its own.

### 5.3 Conflict Resolution Circle

Can cancel the participation of Co-Creators and even whole invitation branches in cases of
collusion.

1. Establishment of the Conflict Resolution Circle (CRC):

● The CRC is a designated body within Constellation responsible for addressing conflicts
and disputes that arise.
● The CRC is composed of Co-Creators with expertise in conflict resolution, mediation,
tantra, non-violent communication and fair decision-making.
● Members of the CRC are elected or appointed by the Open Circle based on their
qualifications and commitment to unbiased conflict resolution.

2. Objective and Principles of the CRC:

● The CRC's primary objective is to foster peaceful resolution of conflicts within the
Constellation community.
● The CRC operates on the principles of fairness, impartiality, transparency, and respect
for all parties involved in the conflict.
● It is guided by the principles of restorative justice, ensuring that conflicts are resolved in
a way that repairs harm, promotes healing, and rebuilds trust.

3. Responsibilities of the CRC:

● Receive Conflict Reports: When conflicts arise, community members can submit conflict
reports to the CRC detailing the nature of the conflict, parties involved, and any
relevant evidence or documentation.
● Gather Information: The CRC conducts a thorough investigation by gathering all
pertinent information, including statements from involved parties, witnesses, and any
supporting evidence.
 ● Mediation and Facilitation: The CRC serves as a neutral mediator, facilitating dialogues
between conflicting parties with the goal of reaching a mutually agreed-upon
resolution.
● Fair Decision-Making: In cases where mediation does not result in a resolution, the CRC
has the authority to make fair, unbiased decisions based on their investigation,
applicable guidelines, and community values.
● Implementing Decisions: Once a decision is reached, the CRC ensures the
implementation and enforcement of the resolution, working closely with relevant
parties to monitor progress and address any further issues that may arise.

4. Transparent and Inclusive Process:

● The CRC operates with transparency by providing regular updates and reports on
conflict resolution processes to the Constellation community.
● In the interest of inclusivity and accountability, the CRC actively engages the affected
parties, seeking their input and involvement throughout the resolution process.
● Community Feedback: The CRC may seek community feedback and suggestions on
conflict resolution approaches, continuously improving its processes based on the
feedback received.

5. Continuous Learning and Training:

● The CRC members engage in continuous learning and training in conflict resolution
techniques, consensus-building, and cultural sensitivity.
● Regular workshops, webinars, and training sessions are organized to enhance the
CRC's collective knowledge and skills, ensuring effective conflict resolution within the
Constellation ecosystem.

### 5.4 Genesis Circle

The Genesis Circle is entrusted with the stewardship of Constellation's underlying technology.
Its responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks, each crucial to the evolution and
maintenance of the Constellation ecosystem.

The Genesis Circle initiates gifting requests for resources and development, ensuring that the
technological needs of the Constellation community are met. It acknowledges the contributions
of substantial gifters by rewarding them with Angel NFTs, a tangible representation of their
valuable contributions.
The Circle is also responsible for refining the software architecture, ensuring that it remains
robust, efficient, and capable of supporting the growing needs of the Constellation community.
It oversees the development process, ensuring that each stage is executed with precision and
in alignment with the overall vision of Constellation.

The Genesis Circle also handles necessary updates, ensuring that the technology remains
current and effective. It receives and addresses bug reports, ensuring the smooth functioning of
the system.

The Circle also has the authority to decide on necessary forks, ensuring that the technology
can adapt and evolve as needed. Lastly, it oversees the development of Pegasus, the AI chat
interface that enhances the user experience within the Constellation ecosystem.

In essence, the Genesis Circle serves as the technological guardians of Constellation, ensuring
that the technology continues to support and enhance the community's gifting ethos.

### 5.5 Portal Approval Circle

Any Co-Creator within the Constellation community has the opportunity to propose the
establishment of a new Portal. This Portal could represent a novel project or serve as a conduit
for an existing community, project, art collective, or any other collaborative endeavor.

The Portal Approval Circle is responsible for assessing these proposals. It evaluates the
potential of the new Portal, considering its alignment with Constellation's values, its potential
for positive impact, and its capacity to foster collaboration and co-creation within the
community. The Circle may choose to hold a public vote to aid in the decision-making process,
but this is not a requirement for approval.

In addition to approving new Portals, the Portal Approval Circle also has the authority to grant
Portals the right to distribute Angel NFT collections. These collections serve as special
rewards for substantial contributions and are granted on a case-by-case basis (refer to sections
2.5 and 2.6 for more details).

In essence, the Portal Approval Circle plays a crucial role in facilitating the growth and
diversification of the Constellation community. It ensures that new Portals align with the
community's values and have the potential to contribute positively to the collective journey
towards conscious living, environmental sustainability, and self-empowerment.

### 5.6 Co-Creator Invitation

Any individual can be invited to join the Constellation community by an existing Co-Creator.
This invitation is not just a call to join, but a gift in itself, symbolizing the welcoming spirit of
the community. Upon receiving the invitation, the potential new member undergoes a
validation process to confirm their identity, after which they receive a pre-membership.

Acceptance into the Constellation community is not a passive process; it requires reciprocation.
The potential new member is expected to share a gift with a Portal or its partaking
Co-Creators, aligning with an existing need within the community. This act of gifting serves as
a demonstration of the individual's commitment to the ethos of co-creation and abundance that
underpins Constellation.

Upon joining, the new Co-Creator shares an overview of their potential gift offerings and
requests. These are then matched with existing demands and proposals within the community,
facilitating the process of co-creation and exchange.

In essence, the invitation process is a journey of mutual giving and receiving, reflecting the core
values of Constellation. It ensures that every new member contributes to and benefits from the
collective journey towards conscious living, environmental sustainability, and
self-empowerment.

## 6. Genesis Portal

The Genesis Portal serves as the technological cornerstone and growth catalyst of
Constellation. It is tasked with the development and refinement of the community's
technological infrastructure, as well as the expansion of the Constellation community.

The Genesis Portal oversees the development of the Constellation Blockchain, a unique
iteration of Ethereum tailored to facilitate and record the gifting process within the community.
It ensures that the Blockchain functions seamlessly, supporting wallet functionalities that
enable the tracking, sending, and receiving of gifts.

The Genesis Portal is also responsible for the creation and management of Smart Contracts.
These digital agreements facilitate the execution of predefined actions within the Constellation
ecosystem, such as processing gifting requests or distributing Love Tokens and NFTs.

Furthermore, the Genesis Portal spearheads the development of Pegasus AI, the chat interface
that enhances the user experience within Constellation. It ensures that Pegasus AI remains
current, effective, and user-friendly, continuously refining its features and capabilities.

Beyond its technological responsibilities, the Genesis Portal also plays a crucial role in
expanding Constellation. It conducts events, fosters community engagement, and ensures
visibility among relevant audiences. These efforts not only attract new members to the
community but also strengthen the bonds within the existing community, fostering a sense of
shared purpose and collective growth.

In essence, the Genesis Portal is both the technological architect and the growth catalyst of
Constellation, crafting the digital tools and fostering the community connections that support
and enhance the collective journey towards conscious living, environmental sustainability, and

## 7. Conclusion

Constellation sets the stage for a new kind of community - one that rewards selfless giving,
fosters trust, and promotes a culture of sharing. Constellation is a bridge between a capitalist
to a gifting economy. Participation serves as a hedge against the instabilities of the capitalistic
system, as currencies and goods inflate and devalue monetarily, being part of Constellation
might lead to participation in the abundance of the resources that Constellation generates. As
we move forward, we aim to expand our collective, evolve our systems, and continue to build a
community rooted in love and gratitude to eventually fulfill all our needs within Constellation
and become independent from older systems.
