OVERVIEW

SCHOOLS are institutions that are motivated by s shared vision.

Necessarily, school must have policies for them to realize their mission and
vision. These policies are reflection of the values of the people who created
them. What ever policies Whatever policies are formulated must redound to
the improved teaching-learning of learners which is the very reason of the
existence of schools. And according to Merriam-Websters, A group of
scholars and teachers pursuing knowledge together that with similar groups.
POLICY are rules that are intended to help schools teach students
efficiently, fairly and safely as per the regulatory norms, and the Board to
which the Institution is affiliated. These terms determine how students are
taught, what they are taught, how schools manage students and its
personnel.
SCHOOL POLICY is defined as the set of established expectations
for specific behavior and norms within a school. School policies are put in
place to guide the day-to-day functioning of the school as well as to make it
safe and an effective place for learning to occur.
School policies are a fundamental tool that help a school establish
operating procedures and create standards of quality for learning and
teaching, as well as set out expectations and accountability. Without these,
school would lack the structure and function necessary to provide
educational need of the students. Therefore, policies are key for the success
of a school, and provide many other privileges provided they are written
well, to the point and kept up to date. Many policies are essentially written
and never altered. Adherence to them and making required revisions to
account for changes at the school level are fundamental, as policies are only
valuable for as long as they are properly implemented and monitored.

INTRODUCTION

On this chapter will primarily focused on the school policies

and their function. How this function will contribute, help, and
strengthen the foundation of different colleges and universities. And
how this function ensure safety and welfare of the students, teachers,
school staff and its stakeholders.
Many people may consider developing a policy inside a
school to be a burdensome and bureaucratic undertaking. Truthfully, it
is, but the essential query is: Is it worthwhile? In actuality, policies
provide helpful and essential assistance to guarantee that people carry
out their responsibilities correctly and responsibly because nobody can
be everywhere at once. A policy does just that. Guidelines and
procedures aid in making work processes more effective.
Numerous regulations are merely written and then left alone.
Policies only remain relevant for as long as they are properly
implemented and monitored, therefore adherence to them and making
the necessary adjustments to reflect the changes that occur on a school
level are vital.
In order to ensure the efficient operation of any educational
system, policies are crucial and should be included. As long as there is
not an overwhelming quantity of information overload for everyone,
they are essential for administrators, teachers, and students.
