How various media drive different forms of global integration and how they affect
societies? 50 points

The media has a significant impact on various forms of global integration and how they affect
societies. Media's low marginal costs make it ideal for globalization, and its global reach allows it to be
relevant in a wide range of countries. Individual beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors can be influenced by
media, and social norms that influence and encourage gender violence have been targeted by policy
interventions using mass media communication. Media can both build and destroy empires, and it
shapes who we are as individuals as well as those around us. Social media has changed the way we
communicate, share information, and consume media. It has resulted in many positive changes, such
as the democratization of information and increased connectivity, but it has also resulted in negative
consequences, such as the spread of misinformation and the amplification of hate speech. Radio and
television were early contributors to this new form of mass media, influencing global political views
and religious beliefs as well as changing how we view literacy in an educational setting. The media
facilitates extensive transnational cultural exchange, challenging existing cultures and fostering the
formation of new and alternative symbolic and cultural communities. The general public believes that
social media has an impact on society, and opinions differ between social media users and non-users.
The social consequences of media are primarily mediated through sectors, and it can have both positive
and negative effects on individuals and communities. The media has the power to shape our
perceptions of social norms and values, and it frequently portrays certain behaviors as acceptable or
desirable while condemning others.
