Applications are invited from suitably qualified Mauritian candidates for the award of
scholarships offered by the Republic of Tunisia:
Note: The qualification requirements may also include an alternative qualification acceptable
and equivalent to the above. It is the responsibility of candidates to provide any
relevant documentation relating to the equivalence of certificates.
2. Age Limit
Candidates should not be more than 25 years of age by the closing date for the
submission of applications.
3. Mode of Application
3.1 Applications must be made on the prescribed form available at the Scholarships Section,
Ministry of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology 1st Floor, MITD
House, Phoenix, or may be downloaded from the Ministry’s website:
https://education.govmu.org/
3.2 Candidates should ensure that certified copies of certificates, transcripts of final
university results/marksheets and all other relevant documents relating to their
qualifications are submitted to the Scholarships Section by the closing date.
Non-submission of these documents on time may result in their elimination
from the selection exercise. Certification of documents may be done at the
Scholarships Section of the Ministry or at the Career Guidance Service in Rose Hill.
3.3 Responsible parties of applicants not in Mauritius may apply on behalf of their wards.

3.4 The completed Application Form along with all supporting documents should be
submitted to the Scholarships Section of the Ministry by Tuesday 09 August 2022 at
14.00 hrs at latest.
3.5 Nominated candidates would have to submit a medical certificate certifying that they are
free from any contagious disease. Candidates are recommended to take appropriate
measures to seek the appropriate medical certificates.
3.6 Applicants already in employment, whether public or private, must fill in the application
forms in duplicate. One copy thereof along with the relevant supporting documents,
should be submitted to the Scholarships Section, and one copy to the applicant’s
employer to enable the latter to decide on the release of applicant for the course, and if
so, on what terms and conditions. Such information should be made available
together with the applications.

4.2 Les étudiants candidats pour le premier cycle doivent être titulaires d’un baccalauréat
2021. Les étudiants de la HSC devront avoir obtenu un minimum d’un ‘Credit’ en langue
française lors de leur examen du School Certificate ou ‘O’ Level GCE.

5. Applicants are reminded that being nominated by the Ministry does not
automatically guarantee selection for an award. The final decision to award
the scholarship rests with the Donor Agency.
7. Only the best qualified candidates will be nominated. Candidates who have not been
informed of their nomination within six weeks as from the closing date for application
should consider that they have not been shortlisted.
8. A Communiqué will be placed on the Website of this Ministry in due course to inform
applicants that the selection exercise has been completed.
