INTRODUCTION

A group of more than two computer systems linked together is defined as a network. A
network is a system consisting of a same parts that connected to each other and allowing
communication along the parts and between the parts to a central centre. This communication transfer
data via the connection of the nodes or data link. There are three common type of networks which is
Local Area Networks (LANs) , Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs) and Wide Area Networks
(WANs). LANs cover network between computers that geographically close together. The MANs is
designed to cover a network in a town or city while for the WANs the computers is further apart from
each other and using radio wave to communicate. Topology is a characteristic of a network which
defined as geometric arrangement of a computer system or known as nodes connected to each other.
Bus, ring and star are some of common example in network topology.
