INTRODUCTION

0.1 THE PROBLEM

Computers really revolutionized and revitalized businesses in local as well as worldwide markets.
The computer technology has definitely brought greatness to most businesses today both in local and worldwide
markets. Computers have provided endless advantages to both small and major enterprises. Furthermore, small
businesses are given opportunity to expand into larger corporations because of the technology of computers.
0.2 HYPOTHESES

A hypothesis is a suggestion, a guess about the outcomes of research; a strong belief the
researcher has about the situation under investigation but which still needs to be proved to be
true or false based on the facts. (Nsimambote 2020)

For this topic, it is assumed that firstly, the second year students of the English Business and
Computer Science department do not apply punctuation and capitalization correctly.

0.3 Interest of the work

This work is helpful for Business people and learners in overall, and also for the students of
the English, Business and Computer Science Department to know the benefits of
computerization in business

0.4 Research questions

Buhendwa (2016) defines a research question as the one acting as a key of the research. The
researcher is supposed to answer in a research generally. It isbroken into minorquestions used
in the questionnaire.(Nsimambote 2021)

The following question sought answer forthis work:

 How do the students use punctuation marks and punctuation in their composition?
 Do they use them correcy?

0.5 Research objectives

Nsimambote (2021). define a research objective in a research is supposed to express clearly

and specifically. It is turned a question to become a research

From learning more about the competition to discovering what customers really want,
research isn't as difficult as it once was, thanks to computers. Search engines, forums, socia
networks and industry specific websites provide businesses with a wealth of information and
research

data.
0.6 METHODS USED

R. PINTO and M. GRAWITZ (2007) define the method as the set of intellectual operations
by which a discipline seeks to attain the truths it pursues, demonstrates them and verifies
them. As far as we are concerned, in order to complete this study, we opted for strategic
analysis.

Nsimambote (2021) defined it as a justification of methods and techniques used in a study

both quantitative and qualitative methods namely, questionnaire and interview will be used
for this work.

We’re going to distribute the sheets of papers of composition to students of English Business
and computer Science for collecting data of this work
.
0.7 WORK OUTLINE

To achieve this purpose, we have divided our research paper into three main parts:

 The first chapter deals with AWARNESS THE BENEFITS OF

COMPUTERIZATION IN BUSINESS

 The second chapter deals with METHODOLOGY

 The third and the last chapter deals with DATA ANALYSYSIS AND

INTERPRETATION

CHAPTER ONE: AWARNESS OF COMPUTARIZATION IN BUSINESS

This chapter is divided into two sections; the first section is about the definition of some basic

concepts and the last one deals with views of the benefits of computerization in business

I.1 DEFINITIONS OF SOME BASIC CONCEPTS

I.1.1 AWARNESS:
I.1.2 COMPUTERIZATION:

I.2. ON BENEFITS OF COMPUTERIZATION I' BUSINESQ

The importance of Computers in Business:- Computers speed up the business processes and systems
with top quality. Today’s world computer is important to use to start an online and offline business. A
computer is important to use in business to automate the manufacturing, marketing and, distribution
process.

Computers help in research, production, distribution, marketing, banking, team management,

business automation, data storage, employee management and very helpful to increase productivity
at a lower cost, less time with high quality. That’s why the use of the computer is important in
business. And the computer is the 1st and main tool in business that generates and manages profits.
Computer help business to collect manages, calculate, arrange, and visualize customer data and
information by us computer applications such as Microsoft word, excel, lower powerpoint and tally.
A computer helps to communicate faster with the customer by using the internet, online
communication tools, and internet phone system. It’s really important for the administration of the
big or small organization and each field that manages resources and Opportunites.

Almost every business uses computers to complete daily tasks. From making contact with

clients to inputting data for reports, computers allow businesses a more efficient way to

manage affairs when compared to traditional paper and manila folders. Businesses use a

variety of different types of computers such as desktops, laptops, servers, smartphones and

tablets, depending on their needs. With computers, employees are able to work anytime,

anywhere.

Communication

Communication is key when gaining and maintaining clients and other important contacts.

Computers give businesses access to email, instant messaging and custom customer contact

systems. Computerized phone systems alow for automated support during off hours and a

virtual operator can quickly direct callers to the correct department for faster support.

Marketing

Computers allow businesses to create websites, stunning ads and complete marketing

campaigns. Marketing videos can be edited and custom ads created in-house with the use of

speciaized software. Businesses can completely develop and manage websites with their own

servers or connect remotely to a third-party business to upload their latest content such as

articles, product images and blog posts.

Accounting

Accounting without computers presents a high risk for human error. Accounting software

allows businesses to simply input their financia data and instantly see gains and osses. All

necessary tax reports are available the moment the data is entered. Using computers for

invoicing, managing expenses and calculating payroll is vital for ensuring financial data is as

accurate as possible.

Storage
Instead of filing cabinets, businesses are able to store millions of files using computers and
servers. Data can be stored centrally for easy access from multiple computers or stored locally
for individua use. Computerized storage saves space and provides a far more efficient
organization strategy. With encryption, passwords and replace keys, data remains secure.

Documents and Reports

Most businesses have some sort of productivity software which typicaly includes a word
processor and spreadsheet application. These two programs allow businesses to create reports,
memos, tutorials and even colorful ads for company events. Spreadsheet applications give
businesses the chance to organize, manage and calculate both numeric and alphabetic data.
With charts and graphs, reporting becomes visual instead of text-based.

Education

Businesses use computers to help educate employees on software, company policy, standard
procedures and safety. Instead of hiring teachers, computers can be used to educate employees
at their own pace or through an online webinar with ive questions and answers.
This form of education fits the busy schedules of businesses without sacrificing the quality of
the education.

In an age of booming technology, running a business without computers is like trying to

breathe without lungs. Like it or not, technology has become an integral part of the way
business is done. Even if you perform services
or provide products which are not technology related in and of themselves such as dry
cleaning and hairstyling – you may find that without a computer, it's difficult to place orders
with suppliers or pass information to your
accountant.

Inventory Management

Retail and wholesale business have increasingly come to rely on computers' advanced ability
to keep track of inventory and assist in ordering more when stocks get low. In fact, one of the
central approaches to the success
of retail giant WalMart was real time ordering in which WalMart's computer systems place
orders for goods as they are needed. This allowed them not to carry too much or too little of
any particular item as well as to save on
the manpower required to manage much of the supply chain. However, businesses of all sizes
use inventory management and point of sales systems to do smaller scale versions of the same
thing.

Presentations And Documents

While it's still possible to find a typewriter at a garage sale, the days of typed papers and
documents are dead and gone. Word processing is a must in today's business environment.
Not only are computers the medium for
document creation, but the ability to email and share documents electronically has become
central to the editing,
approval and delivery process. Similarly, presentations and reports are commonly delivered in
electronic slide
show presentations or via webinars. Creators must use programs, such as PowerPoint, to
create them as this is
the standard for modern business.
Electronic Communications

A business not involved in electronic communications -- particularly email -- closes off one of
the largest communication channels today. Customers, clients, vendors and business partners
use email to make contact and
transact business. Some companies go beyond email and actually encourage the use of in-
house instant messaging as a method of communications between employees and
departments.

Internet Access

Internet access is a business' communications lifeline. Internet-enabled computing allows you

to receive orders from customers, place orders with suppliers, research businesses, explore
business ideas, communicate with
government agencies and even manage your business' banking. In addition, online presence
with at least a website is critical to legitimizing a business. Many companies go further and
participate in social networking
sites for marketing and branding purposes.

Multi-site Networks

If your business has more than one site or branch, then multi-site networking provides
tremendous benefits for accounting, standardizing and managing your multi-faceted
operation. Many companies use point of sale
systems to ensure standardized operations within a chain of stores or sites. Companies that
sell similar products or services in multiple locations find that computer systems help them
keep track of revenues, costs and their
supply chain from a central office. This allows a centralized management team to get reports
on any or all sites and get a macro-view of the business when needed.
