This research proposal aims to study the influence of spell-checker features on the English spelling skills of selected 10th grade students at San Anton National High School from October 2023 to May 2023. The study aims to identify the profile of respondents, determine what types of writing students use spell-checkers for, identify how often spell-checkers are used, and analyze the effects of spell-checkers on spelling skills. A survey questionnaire will be used to collect data from purposively sampled 10th grade students to determine the influence and identify strategies to enhance positive impacts or reduce negative impacts on English spelling.

4.) Determine how often the target
respondents are using the spell-checker feature to accomplish their English written schoolwork.
5.) Determine the effects of the spell-
checker feature on the English spelling skills of the target respondents.
6.) Find out the possible strategies to hone
the possible positive influences or cease the negative influences of the spell-checker feature on English spelling skills of the target respondents.

This study may aid certain individuals
acquire awareness and an understanding of the real and possible influences of utilizing specific grammar tool features, specifically the spell-checker feature, on students’ English spelling skills. These awareness and understanding could be used as springboards for ideas, suggestions, and strategies to enhance the positive effects of this phenomenon or stop the negative ones. Specifically, this study may be beneficial for students, teachers, school administrators, and future researchers of San Anton National High School (SANHS), as well as for those particular stakeholders of different schools.
Methodology To determine the influences of spell
