Making carbon dioxide gas

Materials Needed: __________________________
______________________________________

My Drawing:

Put a little vinegar in the bottom of a cup. Next add half a teaspoon
of bicarbonate of soda. Watch what happens.
You get lots of bubbles because the gas carbon dioxide is being
made. This makes bubbles in the vinegar. When the bubbles stop, the
cup will be full of carbon dioxide gas. Carbon dioxide is clear and has no
colour so you cannot see it. An adult will light your candle.
Carefully pour a little of the gas onto the flame of the candle.
Do not pour any vinegar onto the candle. Watch what happens

Conclusion: What happened to the flame of the candle?
