Living Rosary 2023

0|Page
INTRODUCTION (Commentator):
The Holy Rosary or rosarium in Latin which means "crown of roses" or "garland of roses” refers to a set
of prayers used by the Catholic Church. The prayers that compose the Rosary are offered like roses to honor
the Blessed Virgin Mary. These are also prayed for our intensions through her intercession as our mother.
Our patron saint, St. James the Greater, when he was facing great difficulties in his missionary efforts and
severe discouragement, Mary appeared to him atop a pillar and accompanied by angels, consoled and
encouraged our patron to go on with his mission. Through this apparition of the Blessed Virgin to St. James
in Zaragoza Spain, we are encouraged that we may find consolation and encouragement through Mary as we
call on our Mother, through the Rosary, to intercede for us.
Now, as the month of the Holy Rosary ends, we come together for our annual Living Rosary, wherein, we
pray as one community.
Fr. MIKE: In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
A: Amen.
OPENING SONG: ANG PUSO KO’Y NAGPUPURI (ST. CECILIA)
KORO: Ang puso ko’y nagpupuri, nagpupuri sa Panginoon. Nagagalak ang aking espiritu, sa’king
tagapgligtas.
I. Sapagkat nilingap Niya, kababaan ng Kanyang alipin.
Mapalad ang pangalan ko, sa lahat ng mga bansa. (Koro)
II. Sapagkat gumawa ang Poon ng mga dakilang bagay;
Banal sa lupa’t langit ang pangalan ng Panginoon. (Koro)
III. Luwalhati sa Ama, sa Anak at sa ‘spiritu Santo,
Kapara noong unang una, ngayon at magpakailanman. (Koro)

FR. MIKE: I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his
only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under
Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again
from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father. From there he will
come to judge the living and the dead.
A: I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
FR. MIKE: Our Father, in heaven, holy be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it
is in heaven.
A: Give us this day, our daily bread; forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Do not bring
us to the test but deliver us from evil. Amen.
*FR. MIKE: Hail Mary, full of grace! The Lord is with you, blessed are you among women and blessed is
the fruit of your womb Jesus.
*A: Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us, sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
(* Repeat 2 more times)

FR. MIKE: Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
A: As it was in the beginning is now and will be forever. Amen.
