INSTALLATION

Level the machine using the adjustable feet on the stand (Photo 1 - A).
Dismount the rear panel and connect the outlet pipe with the gum pipe C (Photo 9)
and the water inlet pipe with the gum pipe B (Photo 9). Fasten both pipes with the
proper clamps.
Insert the bar A in the support B (Photo 2) in order to block the outlet table.
Connect the power cable located on the backside left of the machine. Turn the main
switch to pos. 1 (Photo 2 - C)
Do not switch on the machine before tanks are filled with chemicals.

DEVELOPING TANK

Fill up the tank until the highest level of the tank is reached. (Photo 5 - B).
Old developer and exceeding developer will flow down through pipe M (Photo 10).
To empty the tank, open the tap of valve L (Photo 10).

REPLENISHMENT
Replenishment rates should be set according to the plate manufacturers
recommendations. The replenishment control has been calibrated so that in position
1 (Photo 3 -B) the machine takes 10 cc. of replenisher every 50 cms. of developed
plate, keeping possible fractions in memory. In position 2, 20cc. and so on. We
recommend checking the right replenisher quantity by the exposure scale on the
plate. If replenishment is not enough, increase replenishment value in the display
or replenish manually through the proper button acting directly on the pump for the
time this button is being pushed.

POS. 1 15 cc.
POS. 2 35 cc
POS. 3 50 cc.
POS. 4 70 cc.
POS. 5 90 cc.
POS. 6 110 cc.
POS. 7 130 cc.
POS. 8 150 cc.
POS. 9 170 cc.

3
AUTOMATIC WORKING

Place a plate on the in-feed table ensuring that the plate touches the black sensor
(Photo 1).
After approximately 5 seconds the cycles of development, washing, gumming and
drying will begin at set intervals. Check that the quantity of water sprayed is
proper.
Adjust the infeed speed so that a point of the plate remains at least 25" in the
developing section (normally position 5).
Adjust the brush speed according to the kind of plate to be developed
(recommanded not more than pos. 4).

GUMMING

The quantity of gum can be adjusted through valve A (Photo 5).

If the machine will not be used for more than 24 hours we recommend to wash the
gumming rollers after replacing the gum container with a water container.

RE-GUMMING

The machine is equipped with a plate sensor for the second automatic inlet: the re-
gumming will start automatically by positioning the plate on the chute and will stop
at the end of the cycle.

MANUAL WORKING

In the event of automatic sensor failure, the machine can be operated manually
(MANUAL MODE) pressing the button Menu. Keys referred to the three operating
sections (development, rinsing and drying) must be switched on (ON) - (see
control panel instructions)

FILTERS

Water filter: the metal net K must be cleaned and washed yearly (photo 10).
Developer filter: change the filter T (Photo 10) each time you change the
developer.

4
WATER

Water flows into two pipes after development to wash the surface and the backside
of the plate.
The quantity of water can be regulated through the levers P (Photo 10).
The valve R (Photo 10) must be opened only when the shower is used.

DEVELOPER BRUSH ADJUSTMENT

Avoid excessive brush pressure. Check that the plate can be easily introduced
under the brush, while the machine is switched off.
