Procedure
Cleaning This operation is not necessary for new parts.
Carefully remove the residue from the threads of the head screw and the push-
button nut using a metal hand brush (930.02.07), then clean with compressed air.
Cleaning Degrease the push-button, its nut and the head with isopropyl alcohol or benzine.
Allow to air-dry. Do not use compressed air on the threads. Wait for full evaporation,
approx. 5 min.
Refitting Refit in the same way as the parts inside the head, please refer to Instructions
2200006.
Gluing Glue the nut to the push-button with Loctite® No. 222. 6ml bottle, 107.54.02 or 50ml,
1200056/920.01.23.
Apply the glue (see exploded drawing for the contra-angle) only to the threads of the
push-button until the screw thread is full. (fig. 1)
Tightening the nut Position the push-button nut by hand and turn 1-2 times. Next, tighten to the desired
torque (see exploded drawing of contra-angle) using torque screwdriver 930.02.05.
Wipe away excess glue with a cloth.
Polymerisation Complete hardening of the glue takes 3 hrs at 20°C, or 1 hr at 60°C.
During this time, rest the head push-button side down (fig. 2), to let excess glue
drain out.
Inspection After hardening is complete. Clean the head with a cloth. Using torque screwdriver
930.02.05, check that the glued nut does not move under the specified amount of
torque.
If it unscrews, repeat the entire procedure.
