I recommend Jitte Okagbare for a teaching position in your district. Jitte’s strongest areas
are building good rapport with students and providing high quality instruction and engaging
lessons.

I had the privilege of observing Jitte in the classroom as her professor in the Winter 2023
semester at Northern Michigan University. Jitte had the opportunity to work with a small group
of fifth grade students during that time where she showed her enthusiasm and passion for
teaching. She was able to connect with the students quickly in prioritizing their well being and
interests before she began teaching. Jitte was able to deliver quality instruction to the small group
of students with her contagious positive energy. I also had the opportunity to observe Jitte in a
classroom setting in a middle school classroom. During this time, Jitte was able to manage the
classroom in a positive manner. She was able to use a variety of classroom management tools
and recognized immediately which students would need extra support. She was able to help these
students because she connected with them first then focused on academics.

Jitte is a passionate and enthusiastic educator who will do well in her own classroom.
