GRADING SYSTEM,
COMPUTATION OF
GRADES, AND
SUBMISSION OF WORK
SLIDESMANIA.COM
Grading System

SALIQC will still follow the DepEd K-12 Grading

System (DO 36, s. 2016 – Policy Guidelines on
Awards and Recognition for the K-12 Basic
Education Program)
SLIDESMANIA.COM
Grading System

Classroom Awards

- are recognition given to learners in each class or

section. A simple recognition may be given per quarter,
semester, or at the end of the school year. Awardees
are given merit by the adviser and/or other subject
teachers in recognition of the learners’ outstanding
performance in class.
SLIDESMANIA.COM
Grading System

Awards

- are given to qualified learners for every Pre-School,

Grade School, & Junior High School at the end of the
school year. Candidates for the awards are deliberated
by the Award Committee ( mainly by the adviser,
subject teacher/s, academic personnel/s ) if they have
met the given criteria.
SLIDESMANIA.COM
Computation of Grades

In order to compute for grades, each academic

subject will have 3 graded assessments per
quarter including Written Works, Performance
Task (it may be 2 or more), and the Quarterly
Examination The resulting raw score will then be
subjected to a transmutation formula in order to
arrive at a final grade, which will determine the
student’s level of performance.
SLIDESMANIA.COM
Computation of Grades
Written Works + Performance Task + Quarter Exam = RAW SCORE
RAW SCORE - Transmutation Formula = QUARTER GRADE

Written Works – Assignments, Quizzes

Performance Task - Recitation, Project and/or Learning Activity
(assessment that asks students to perform to demonstrate their
knowledge, understanding and proficiency).
- yield a tangible product and/or performance that serve as
evidence of learning.
Quarterly Assessment – Quarter Exams
Note: Year-end Grade = Average of the 4 Quarters
SLIDESMANIA.COM
Computation of Grades
In Kindergarten, Grades 1-2, the bulk of the pupil’s
grade comes from the teacher's formative and
summative assessment. At the end every quarter,
there is an Assessment Week, wherein the
student would spend 10-20 minutes (may vary
depending on the schedule set by teacher with the
consent of the parents) with his teacher to do a
series of tasks. This is done as a confirmation of
what has already been observed throughout the
quarter.
SLIDESMANIA.COM
Computation of Grades

SALIQC prioritizes essential knowledge, skills, attitudes,

and competences in its curriculum, therefore, it is important
for students to be able to demonstrate mastery of them by
going through every single assessment. In case a student
misses an assessment for valid reasons, he will be allowed
to make-up for it. This is to ensure proof that what was
missed has actually been mastered or has been
understood sufficiently.
SLIDESMANIA.COM
Computation of Grades

The pupil will be evaluated in terms of his

readiness for Grade 1 or the next grade level.

nature of the task and the pace of the lesson.

accomplished within the session may be
submitted during the same day. However,
submission dates may be spread out within the
week as the teacher sees fit.
