Remember the Three Cs

Be Concise, Clear & Conversational

Explain exactly what your product

or service is, for whom and why

Focus on the vision, not the

technical detail

Avoid jargon, marketing speak and

buzzwords
HV

Explain why the problem is

worth solving

Is it urgent? growing? essential?

Is it a problem that people
encounter frequently? every day?
HV

Practice
This is not the expression that
you want to see on an investor’s
face!

Can they picture your idea in

their mind? Practice explaining
your idea, a lot - to your
colleagues, friends, your mom…
Do they get it? Is it clear? Could
they tell someone else about it?
HV

Tell a story
Be enthusiastic
But don’t forget that the goal is
to INFORM not entertain

During your pitch investors will

be asking themselves:
Do I understand this idea?
Do I like this idea?
Do I want to work with them?
HV

Be prepared
Don’t fail the ‘Technology IQ Test’

If you’re pitching online, check

that the tech works before you
get on that call.
