Axiom (the huge spaceship) as a Utopian Dream
1. Description of the Axiom:

A self-sustaining, sanitized, and organized space habitat.

Every conceivable need of its human occupants is catered for, from food to
entertainment.

2. Utopian Aspects:

Technology has solved all of humanity’s problems, creating a risk-free,

comfortable living environment.

Absence of disease, poverty, or any form of physical discomfort.

3. The Cost of Comfort:

Although not explored in depth in this slide, there's an underlying cost to

such a controlled and convenient utopian setting, which will be delved into in
the next slide.

Illusion of Utopia
1. The Reality of Axiom's Utopia:

Physical atrophy: Humans have become obese due to lack of exercise and
over-reliance on robots for mobility and basic tasks.

Intellectual atrophy: Lack of curiosity or engagement with the world, as

shown by the passive consumption of entertainment and lack of awareness
or concern about Earth.

2. Critique of Tech-Driven Utopia:

The movie critiques the idea of a tech-driven utopia as superficial and devoid
of genuine human experiences.

The over-reliance on technology has led to a detachment from reality,

nature, and genuine human interaction.
