FOURTH

OF JULY

What is the origin of the 4th of July?

This date represents the pre-independence period, when the 13

colonies along the east coast (present-day United States) were
under British control. The British government had dominance and
administered with mercantilist colonialism, where they sought to
extract ultimate possessions for the benefit of the metropolis and
enjoyed a certain autonomy.

Americans, already tired of this situation, began to seek

independence, so the declaration of independence was printed on
July 4, 1776, proclaiming the independence of the 13 colonies on the
east coast.
Traditions

With the victory of gaining independence,

Americans usually gather to celebrate the date,
with fireworks, parades, barbecues, etc. being
typical of the 4th of July celebration. Usually it's
always something with family and friends.
