What to do in this age?

Early Childhood Education and Development (Ages 1-10):


1. Educational Foundation:

As Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "Seeking knowledge is mandatory for


every Muslim." This not only refers to religious knowledge but all beneficial
knowledge. Introduce children to basic Islamic teachings alongside their regular
curriculum.

2. Health and Wellness:

The body is an amanah (trust) from Allah, and taking care of it is a form of
worship. Teach children the importance of cleanliness and health, as
emphasized in Hadiths.

3. Religious Education:

Begin teaching children about Salah, stories of the Prophets, and the morals
derived from these stories.

Nurturing Adolescents (Ages 10-20):


1. Academic Excellence:

Encourage them to seek knowledge as the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said,


"The best amongst you is the one who learns the Quran and teaches it."

2. Developing Life Skills:

Instill in them the importance of honesty, sincerity, and responsibility as


emphasized in the Quran and Hadith.

3. Social Growth:

Teach them about the importance of good companionship as Prophet


Muhammad (PBUH) compared good and bad friends to a perfume-seller and a
blacksmith.

Transition to Adulthood (Ages 20-30):
1. Educational and Professional Aspirations:

The Quran mentions, "Say: Are those who know equal to those who do not
know?" Highlight the importance of beneficial knowledge and its role in society.

2. Personal Development:

Focus on self-awareness and personal growth through the teachings of the


Quran and Sunnah.

3. Family Planning:

As families are the foundation of Islamic society, understanding the rights and
responsibilities of each family member is essential.

Prime Earning Age (Ages 30-40):


1. Financial Prosperity:

Emphasize the principles of halal earning and spending. Stress the importance
of zakat and sadaqah as tools for redistribution of wealth.

2. Family Dynamics:

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "The best among you is the best
towards his family..."

Embracing Maturity (Ages 40-60):


1. Legacy Building:

Reflect on the concept of sadaqah jariyah (ongoing charity) and how one can
continue to benefit even after they have passed.

2. Exploration and Learning:

As Muslims, we believe that we should continue to seek knowledge from cradle


to grave.

Golden Years (Ages 60 and above):


1. Sharing Wisdom:

Reflect on the Hadith, "When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except
for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays
for him."

2. Spiritual Reflection:

Strengthen connection with Allah, increasing in ibadah (worship) and reflection.

3. Continued Engagement:

Encourage ongoing community involvement, following the example of the


Sahaba who remained active contributors to society in their old age.

Closing Thoughts:
Generational Exchange: Emphasize the importance of maintaining family ties, as
mentioned in the Quran and Hadith.

Continuous Improvement: Always striving in the path of Allah and seeking His
pleasure in all stages of life.
