Objectives:
Sanford has a requirement for a qualified individual to provide one hundred
twenty-five (125) OTTO NoizeBarrier Micro Earplugs with with 125 Comply Ear
Tips as part of a communication improvement effort for the USBP Airboat fleet.
This procurement is Brand Name or Equal. Offerors submitting an “equal to”
product must demonstrate with a technical response how the proposed
equivalent product meets the salient specifications listed below.
❖ Technical Specifications:
Electronic Earplugs to be used in conjunction with Communication Headset, OTTO NoizeBarrier
Micro or equivalent.
• Provide/deliver immediate purchase of 125 Electronic Earplugs with 125 Ear Tips.
• Must work in conjunction with Communication Headsets
• Must provide up to 40 dB of impulse noise protection.
• Must provide up to 15 dB adaptive noise attenuation.
• Must have a dual mode to provide hearing protection as well as sound enhancement
to decipher radio communications.
• Have a hearing enhancement mode to amplify soft sounds up to 5x
• Provide Accu-Technology for high-definition sound quality in high noise environments.
• One-button touch pad.
• Rechargeable.
• Must provide a minimum of 10 hours to up to 16 hours of continuous use on one
charge.
• Must be water resistant.
• Must have a charging status indicator.
• Provide a 1-year warranty.
• Must have a portable station to charge to earpieces in the field.
