The UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking is a new UK marking for products sold in
the UK (England, Wales and Scotland). It applies to most products that previously
required CE marking.
However, the UK government announced on 1 August 2023 its intention to extend
indefinitely, beyond December 2024, the recognition of the CE marking for the
marketing of most products in Great Britain.
The UKNI marking is a new conformity marking for products placed on the market in
Northern Ireland which have been subject to a mandatory conformity assessment by a
UK-based body. This marking is never affixed in isolation but must always be
accompanied by the CE marking or the appropriate European conformity marking.

Provincial Liquor Boards are the main distribution channels for beer in Canada. They
are responsible for the importation, distribution and marketing of alcoholic beverages
in each province, and decide which products to import and offer to the public through
their chain of shops. Liquor Boards' outlets offer products from the catalogue or
General List, and in some shops speciality products. The full product offering is not
available in all shops.
In addition to Liquor Boards, there are private distributors who can also sell beer in the
Canadian market. These distributors can sell beer through speciality shops, pubs and
restaurants. In general, private distributors focus on the sale of craft beers and local
brands, while Liquor Boards focus on the sale of international and national brands.
