Things that I have learned:

• Being an educator is a difficult vocation

- One must always be ready for changes
- Learning must never stop
- What you teach is not just something that stays inside the classroom. It can
go beyond that if you are able to connect with your student/s.
- There are times when funding will be an issue, but you will need to find a way
to address this to ensure that you are still able to effectively teach

• The public school system is getting better but it still needs a lot of improvement
- Public school teachers are now given necessary training
- There is still a problem with the teacher-student ratio
- Lack of classrooms

• A lot more private schools are encountering problems now.

- Lower number of enrollees which leads to lack of funds

• It is important to benchmark with our neighboring countries to see if where our

education system is currently.

• Digital divide in our country.

- The switch to online/hybrid/modular learning exposed this digital divide in our
country.
- Lack of infrastructure to support education

• The number of students who can’t read properly really surprised me. I am not
really exposed to this because of what I teach. It shows how difficult the task is
for all educators in our country.

• Education should be for all. No student should be left behind.

- Government should ensure that all students are given importance in the
country.

• Proper funding and policymaking are critical in order to create a education

system that is suitable and competitive.
• Collaboration is a tool that can be used by schools/institutions to create a better
learning environment for our students.

• There must be continuity with the programs in education.

- The programs created must also address the critical issues that education is
facing in the country.
