C80 - high-carbon steel

Tough and reliable hot-rolled steel for demanding applications

High-carbon steel properties are characterised by high levels of Typical applications are saw blades, safety-shoe toe caps, clips and
resistance, hardness and strength. The grades are designed for parts buckles for seatbelts, clutches and couplings, automotive components,
which require reliable form stability during intensive use. valves, washers and springs.

Chemical composition (% by weight)

The chemical composition of high-carbon grade C80 is suitable for re-rolling to produce cold-rolled products. The product is supplied in
hot-rolled condition, fit for products conforming to EN 10132-4.
