Gather Info Brochure

First steps:
To enter a gather room, simply click on the
provided link. Afterwards a menu will open in
which you can put in your name, create your
avatar and test both microphone and
camera. When everything is adjusted, you
can click on "Join the Gathering" to start.

You move using either the arrow keys or W, A,

S and D. When you are in the area of an
Interaction able object, you can click X to
interact. To close the object you can click X
again.

When in the vicinity of another avatar, a video

chat will open to the person the avatar
belongs to and you will be able to speak to one
another. If you move away from the other
person, the video chat will also close.

Around certain spaces (usually tables) you will find

so called Private Spaces, in which you can speak
uninterrupted even if other people are in your area.
Only people in the same private space can listen to
the conversation and participate.

The Chat can always be used to send messages to

other people, all people or people nearby (those
whose video you can see). You can always use the
chat to ask Lena or Lisa for help.
Additional functions:

Finding someone: click on the name in the list of people and select
"locate on map"

Following someone: click on the name in the list of people and select
"following"- to stop select "unfollowing"

Walking through objects and people: click the "g" key (ghost)

Leaving Gather: Close the Browser or Tab

Technical advice:

The best and most stable Browser for Gather is Chrome, Firefox is also possible but can crash
sometimes. Gather works only very limited on Phones or Tablets.

In order to use Gather, you have to deactivate both camera and microphone in Zoom or
leave Zoom, because camera and microphone only work in one application at a time.
