To enable learners to;

 Attribute difference in living organisms as due to variation

 Acknowledge green plants as the primary producers of food
 Describe processes of digestion and respiration
 Describe the transport systems in plants and in humans
 State the functions of reproductive systems in males and females
 List the causes of diseases
 Deduce the application of separation techniques from their everyday life

Objectives

Learners will be able to;

 State the differences and similarities in living organisms

 Distinguish between continuous and discontinuous variation
 Draw bar graphs to show variation in living organisms
 Give the word equation for photosynthesis
 Explain the importance of green plants as food producers
 Outline the route followed by food in the human digestive system using a labeled diagram
 State the word equation for cellular respiration
 Draw and label parts of a human respiratory system
 Outline the internal structures of a root and stem in a dicotyledonous plant
 Describe water and ion uptake by plants
 Describe the human circulatory system
 Draw and label the structure of the human heart
 Name the blood vessels to and from the heart
 Identify the functions of the heart in the body
 State the functions of the cotyledon and the endosperm

1
 Distinguish between monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous plant seeds
