INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT

Benchmarking is a method of finding the best available product processes, comparing


performances and strategies. This method identifies a business performance, processes and
strategies against specific reference points and is a potentially powerful way to obtain insights
that can lead to improved performance.

Students should prepare a report based on the following criteria:

1. Choose only ONE (1) product/service brand. Example, AIR ASIA airline
2. Recognize other ONE (1) competitor with similar product/service offering. Example, MAS
airline
3. Identify and choose ONE (1) criteria based on the types of benchmarking;
i) Process
ii) Performance
iii) Strategies
4. Discuss and elaborate the criteria by comparing the weaknesses with the competitor's
product/service.
5. Recommend the improvements by highlighting the advantages.
