WEEK 14

S: Hello Ana, how are you?

A: I'm fine Sharon, I hope you are too.
S: I'm also fine and very excited about the presentation we will have on "Niall's Talk" a
very well-known show in the USA.
A: Yes, I am also very excited but above all I am excited about the topic we are going to
talk about, which is sports. What sports do you think are most practiced in Peru?
S: Well, I think that the most popular sport is football, many people like it very much
and even the most representative football groups are Alianza Lima and Universitario de
deportes. And you Ana, which sport do you think is the most popular, or which one do
you think we should talk about?
A: I think that athletics is practiced more, as it is an individual sport, so it doesn't
necessarily require more people, and many people do it normally, and many Peruvians
even go to international marathons or very important competitions, the most
representative being Gladys Tejeda.
S: You are right, lately we are seeing more participation in athletics and there are more
and more athletes who do it, but I still think that people prefer to play football than run.
A: Well, you're right. Now they are focusing more on football and even parents are
getting their children to play football from a very young age because it is a sport that is
very popular in Peru.
