Dear Ladies and Gentlement,

Firstly, let’s pray and thanks to Allah SWT, who gives us mercies & blessings, so we can gather
without any trouble in this moment of “The Qiro’ati & Amtsilati TPQ Al-Kholil Graduation”.
Alhamdulilah.
Sholawat & salam always be with our prophet Muhammad SAW, may we all get his syafaat in the
gudgment day. Aaamin.
I don’t forget to say thank you so much to the MC for giving me time deliver my speech about “THE
IMPORTANCE OF READING AL-QUR’AN”.

Dear my beloved friends,

As a Muslim, we should know that Allah SWT has sent down 4 books. First, Zabur to the Prophet
Daud, then Taurat to the Prophet Musa, Injil to the Prophet Isa, and the last Al-Qur'an to the
Prophet Muhammad SAW.

Dear Ladies & Gentlement,

Al-Qur'an is one of the miracles of Prophet Muhammad SAW. Why???
Because Al-Qur'an, is the only book, that purity has been preserved throughout time.
Al-Qur'an, has 30 juz, 114 surah, 6666 verses, are never changed.
Allah Azza Wajalla says in his word (QS. Al- Hijr : Verse 9) which means:
"indeed it is Allah, who sent down the Qur'an, & Allah will protect it".
Dear my beloved friends,

We need to know, that Al-Qur'an was revealed, on the night of the 17th of Ramadan.
At that time, the Prophet was meditating in the Hiro Cave.
After months, came Jibril, sent by God to deliver the first ayah to Prophet Muhammad SAW.
The ayat reads: Iqro’! which means : "Read!"

Dear ladies & gentlemen,

Q.S Al-'Alaq, contains God's command, to the Prophet to read.

Even Though, He was an Ummy or illiterate person, but he learned to read.
So, we as his ummat must follow him, learning to read.
Reading, not only what is in the book, but also, reading what is around us.
Because reading, is the source of knowledges.

Dear all of my friends,

Al-Qur'an is the holy book of Muslims which contains guidelines for life.
There are orders and prohibitions, how to be safe in the world & hereafter.
So as true Muslims, specially as TPQ Al-Kholil students, we must love Al-Qur'an & read it every day.
The Prophet Muhammad SAW. said in a hadits :
"The best people are those who read the Qur'an and teach it."
