2 Machine exploitation
Prior to machine exploitation please make sure that it is assembled and connected to
the mains with accordance with "Installation and maintenance manual".

2.1 Power on
· Open the front door of playing station 2.
· If machine is not equipped with PDU,find the mains splitter and switch it ON. Its switch acts
as a main switch for whole roulette. Otherwise switch ON main switch on the PDU.
· Check if all playing stations turn ON. If not, open front door of each not turned on playing
station and check the switch on mains splitter (turn it On).
· Check the main switch in each playing station's power supply. Turn it ON.

2.2 Power OFF

· Open the front door of playing station 2.
· If machine is not equipped with PDU, find the mains splitter and switch it OFF. Its switch
acts as a main switch for whole roulette. Otherwise switch OFF the PDU.

NOTE:

Ident: 13062016 Spintec d.o.o.

Machine exploitation 7

While playing stations turn OFF immediately, machine's wheel is under uninterruptible power
supply (UPS). Most probably it will play another 1-2 games (depends on set time in
Advanced->Server->UPS) and after that machine will shut down.

2.3 Log on Station with RFID card

To log on a playing station RFID cards are used. The RFID cards are 125KHz and uses
Manchester coding. At least one programmed RFID card is shipped with the machine. It is
the so called "Master RFID Card", which means it has the highest priority, which allows
changing all the settings. Its code is stored on the Playing Stations flash RAM, which means
we can log on the playing station even if the Playing station is not connected to the server.

NOTE: Only one RFID card's code can be stored on Playing Station's flash RAM. Other
RFID codes (additional users that can Log On) are stored on server and are sent to the
Playing Stations after they connect with server.

When the user is logged on machine by means of preprogrammed RFID, he has control over
the machine depending of his user level and set rights.

3 Machine Configuring

After the machine is assembled and powered up it has to be configured for proper
functioning. Configuration is done by means of options file on server machine and settings
set by means of certain menu access and input desired setting when the machine is up and
running.

3.1 Options File

Options file is located on the Roulette's PC server on a hard disk in e:\er\server folder. It holds
settings that CAN NOT be modified without a physically connection to the Roulette's PC
server. In some jurisdictions this is a must, since the most important settings, as for example
the base accounting unit, bet limits etc., must be secure from changing. To restrict sensitive
settings (mentioned above) further more there is an additional options_mandatory file with
same syntax as common options file, but since it is read after options file, anything defined
inside it overwrites options settings. File options_mandatory is digitally signed at certification
process and should NOT be changed. If digital signature does not match, machine won't
start.

Configuring the options file

Normally the options file is already configured by the producer prior of shipping the machine,
however there are some specific options that the customer might change before putting the
machine in operation. Those settings that are restricted by jurisdiction are already set in
options_mandatory, so even though you change these settings inside options file, they would
get overwritten.

To change the settings in options file you have to:

· connect a USB key, a USB mouse and a monitor to the central PC server

Ident: 13062016 Spintec d.o.o.

July 2016
8 User Guide

· stop server.exe (select its window and press ESC key or stop it by clicking on X in the
window left upper corner)
· open the e:\er\server\options file in Notepad
· change the settings by typing in new values
· save the options file
· start server.exe

Example 1: Change the base accounting unit from 0.05 (5 cents) to 0.01 (1 cent)
1. In options file find: option name=accounting_denomination value=0.05
2. Replace 0.05 with 0.01

NOTE: After base accounting unit is changed the server will not start if absolute
counters are not set to 0. They can be set to 0 by Ram Clear.
NOTE: Do NOT edit options_mandatory file.

Example 2: Set the allowed player denominations to 5 cents, 20 cents, 25 cents 50 cents
and 1 EUR
In options file find: option name=enabled_multidenom
Write it as: option name=enabled_multidenom value=0.05-0.20-0.25-0.50-1.00

NOTE: Maximum 5 denominations can be listed.

3.2 Ram Clear

Ram clear resets all settings to its default value (except for the settings in options file). Ram
Clear does the following:

· sets electronic counters to 0,

· clears all history data (for example Events Log and Wheel Statistics) and
· clears all settings.

Ram Clear procedure using script:

· connect a USB key, a USB mouse and a monitor to the central PC server
· stop server.exe (select its window and press ESC key or stop it by clicking on X in the
window left upper corner)

window left upper corner)
· delete all station* files from e:\er\server\data directory
· delete users file from e:\er\server\data directory (in case users file is not deleted, data
about users that can log to the roulette will be preserved)
· open a command prompt (In Windows: Start -> Run -> cmd)
· type: e: [Enter]
· type: cd e:\er\server [Enter]
· type: server –reset_db new [Enter]

5.3 Events
Log on Playing Station with RFID and press Advanced -> Events Log to get access to the
events history log. The last 200 000 events (all playing stations ant the server) can be
observed in this dialog. All events are stored in log files on the server PC.

Machine Auditing 55

Figure 32: Events Log.

The following fields can be modified to filter the events:

· Wheel ID: wheel number, on single wheel roulettes this has no effect
· Station ID: by default the Station ID is set to the station on which we logged in (station
ID 0 is used for server or wheel events)
· Date/Time: if changed the first event after the set time is shown
· Events: show only events of certain type (for example bill in finished or winning number)

The events tent to be self explanatory. So for example after bets closed we have the event
game started, when the winning number is read the event winning number and if there were
any bets there is the bets event, containing in its description the bet amount, bet win and
credit before and after bets were calculated.

5.4 Exceptions
Log on Playing Station with RFID and press Advanced -> Exceptions Log to get access to the
exceptions history log. This log is used to store some detailed information about errors that
might happen on the machine. This data can then be used by the support team.

6 Troubleshooting

6.1 Tilts
A Tilt message is shown when an error is detected on the wheel, server PC or on the playing
station. If the error is detected on the wheel or on the server PC then all playing stations go in
tilt (for example the server PC freezes then playing stations have no communication with the
server then the Error, no server comm tilt is shown). If the error is detected only on one
station (for example bill acceptor detects bill jam or station door is opened) then only the
affected playing station will show the tilt error.

Troubleshooting 57

Figure 34: Paytable.

6.2 Clearing a Tilt

All TILTS have to be cleared by an attendant. The machine does not go automatically out of
TILT after the problem is solved. The machine can only go automatically out of tilt if it is
rebooted.

The attendant can clear a tilt as follows:

A simple tilt, for example station door opened: Close the opened door, log on the playing
station with the RFID card and unlog. After unlog the station is initialized and the tilt is cleared.
Wheel error, for example No wining number: Log on one playing station, press the Initialize
All Stations button. Then the wheel and all the stations are initialized and try to clear the tilts.
TILT can not be cleared by the upper two methods. then its reason must be found in order
to fix the problem. Below is a list of possible tilts, their possible causes and possible
solutions. The detailed tilt description on the machine can be found on the first attendant
screen under the Station status.
