ASPECTOS TEÓRICOS QUE DEBEMOS
CONOCER
BASIC PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES: DEFINITION AND TYPES

The development of physical condition consists fundamentally in its relationship

with health and its repercussions on technical efficiency in the execution of
different skills, that is, in the educational framework, physical condition related to
health acquires greater relevance, although we should not relegate to the
background its relationship with athletic performance. In short, it is essential to
know the Systems and Methods for the development of physical condition to be
able to properly apply activities related to the improvement of basic physical
capacities and the harmonious development of motor skills.
1. BASIC PHYSICAL CAPACITY CONCEPT: WHAT ARE
BASIC PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES?

“The basic physical capacities are internal conditions of each organism, determined
genetically, that are improved through training or physical preparation and allow motor
activities, whether daily or sports.”
2. CLASSIFICATION OF BASIC PHYSICAL CAPACITIES: WHAT ARE THE
BASIC PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES?

■ ENDURANCE
The ability to endure physical activity for as long as possible, delaying the
onset of fatigue and / or recovering quickly.”

An example of a game to work resistance:

- “Catch the tail” All participants put on a bib or rope as if it were a tail
(inside the pants and letting a part of the bib or rope protrude). The goal is
to remove as many tails as possible from my colleagues for 5 minutes
■ SPEED
“The basic physical ability to perform specific motor actions in
the shortest time possible”.

An example of a game to work speed:

− Relay race in a circle ”. Teams of 4-5 players. The teams are
arranged in a row and forming a circle around a cone. At the
teacher's signal, the last of each team have to run and go
around the whole circle and when they reach their row they
get the first and the last one leaves, so the row will advance.
The team that reaches the cone first wins.
■ STRENGTH

“The ability to exert muscular tension against a certain resistance.

An example of a game to work strength

"Transport your partner." Teams of 5-6 players. Race in which one member of the team gets
on the mat and the others have to transport him from one side of the gym to the other
■ FLEXIBILITY
"Ability to perform a movement with the maximum amplitude “maximum mobility distance."

An example of a game to work flexibility:

"Alphabet". In groups of 2-3 players they have to form the letters of the alphabet with their
own body lying on the floor
