Maintenance Procedure:

There is no Maintenance Procedure or Aircraft Fault Isolation that would describe which Alerts or
Dispatch Messages are triggered
No Procedure would request to use those Reset Switches in order to Reset a System Malfunction
Except known Limitations, in which case are documented with a Technical Follow Up
However, the Reset Switches can be used to force one Side to be active
This can be requested in specific AFI to support the Troubleshooting Procedure and in specific Operational or
Functional Test in order to Test one specific System Side
Pack 1 (2) Reset Switches are used to reset the ACS Applications and ASCUs
Pack 1 Reset Switch makes it possible to set the related Operational Software and System BITE partitions of
CPIOM H41 and ASCU 1 to the initial Configuration
Pack 2 Reset Switch makes it possible to set the related Operational Software and System BITE partitions of
CPIOM H42 and ASCU 2 to the initial Configuration
Due to ACS Software 3.1 Limitation, in case that both channels of on Air System Control Unit (ASCU) are affected,
the associated pack will be lost and the "Air Pack 1 (2) Fault" alert will be triggered
Normal Operation can be recovered by performing a Pack Reset
Once the ACS Software 3.2 is installed, the Flight Crew should not perform systematically a reset if

"BRAKES AUTO BRK FAULT", "BRAKES G ACCU REINFLATE FAULT", "BRAKES Y ACCU REINFLATE FAULT"
and the Dispatch Messages "BRAKES CTL 1+2", "BRAKES G ACCU REINFLATE", "BRAKES Y ACCU REINFLATE",
"STEER N/W STEER", "F/CTL GND SPLRs REDUNDANCY" comes into view
BSCS 1 Reset, affected CPIOM H61 and H63 and BSCS 2 Reset, affected CPIOM H62 and H64
If the BSCS Side 1 or Side 2 Reset Switch is pulled out, a Ground Signal is sent to the related BCS CPIOM Side 1 or Side 2,
this will reset the related BCS MON and BCS COM partitions
When th BCS CPIOM receives a Ground Signal from the Reset Switch, the BCS does not transimit: AFDX output,
ARINC429 output, Normal Brake Selector Valve or Alternate Selector Valve orders, Braking orders
The RBCUs will continue to transmit ARINC429 output when the reset Switch is pulled out
The partitions will be in reset Mode until the Reset Switch is pushed in

Reset of single AESU (1)(2) or both AESU (1 and 2) at a time after maintenance
Procedure to do a reset of Aircraft Environment Surveillance System 1 and 2 after maintenance
On the center pedestal, on Panel 135VM, make sure that the two Engine Master Switches are set to "OFF"
(both Engines stopped)
On the CAPT and F/O EFIS Control Panel, make sure that the WXR mode is not engaged
(the green bars of the WX key are off)
AESU 1 (2) operates 15 seconds after Reset
Push the WXR/SYS 1 key and XPDR/TCAS/SYS 1 key to activate the two function groups in AESU 1
...on the center Pedestal, on the AESS Control Panel the green bars of these keys come on
...AESU 1 becomes the Master AESU
Pull AESU 1 Reset Switch
...on the ECAM, on the Warning Display, the amber "SURV SYS 1 Fault" Warning Message comes into view
...you can hear a single chime from CAPT and F/O Loudspeakers
...on the Glareshield, on Panels 411VU and 412VU, the Legends of the CAPT and F/O Master CAUT

In case of SURC XPWR 1+2 Fault, the flight crew must inform the ATC of the temporary loss of the XPDR
All other temporary Alerts can be disregarded
The AESU rest is not recommended during the Approach
Reset only on AESU at a time

A complete CIDS Reset will result in the loss of PA and Interphone for 3 minutes
Inform the cabin crew that the cabin systems should be recovered in 5 minutes

If the Flight Crew keeps one CIDS Reset Button pulled, there is no impact on the Aircraft Dispatch,

Before you do the Reset, make sure that it will not have an Effect on other work on the Aircraft
When you do the Reset of the Cabin and Maintenance OIS, you will close the OIS Displays and stop Communication
with the WACS (if installed)
Procedure to do a reset of all the OIS LRUs and Applications of the Avionics, Cabin and Maintenance Domains
after maintenance
The time necessary to do this Procedure is approximatly 9 minutes
The Data will be saved during this test
During the Avionics OIS Reset, the "Company COM not avail" Message is shown on the CAPT and F/O OIS Displays
During the Avionics OIS Reset, a Reset of the Cabin and Maintenance OIS LRUs and Applications is also necessary
Close the Sessions on the Terminals, on the OMT and on CAPT and F/O Displays, make sure that no Window related
to an Application is open
Pull OIS AVNCS and OIS CAB & Maint Reset Switch
...wait 10 seconds approximatly
...on the OMT, the Display goes out of view and a red cross comes into view

The flight crew can perform a system reset with the use of the associated cockpit controls (eg. pushbutton), or
the reset button.
To perform a system reset, follow the here below actions, unless indicated differently in the applicable reset
procedure:
- If the associated control is used: Set the associated control to OFF, wait three seconds, and set
the associated control to ON
- If hte associated reset button is used: Pull the associated reset button, wait one second, and push
the associated reset button
