 Wad AlBashier Collecting and Pumping Station – Mar 2016 to Dec 2017
This a complete construction project including above ground water tank of a capacity of 6000 cubic metres,
which collect the water from the many water boreholes in the area during the day, to control the supply of the
drinking water network in Wad AlBashier are in West Omdurman. The site including brick fence on a strip
foundation with a steel grill seizing a land of 140x180m, all site was cleared and levelled to guide the surface
drainage outside the area.
- I tracked the progress of the work done against the planned schedule.

- I checked the creep of the scope against the contract due to poor contracting documents from the
Client.
- I checked the preparation of the project payments.
- I selected the better options to execute the contract against the available solutions.
- I checked documentation of the variable orders by the Client, to prove any claims (if needed) in
future.
- I compared the better offers of subcontractors (international), and followed their contracts, progress
of execution of their work, payments, testing, shipping, clearance, and transporting of products
according to the schedule of the project.

 Upper Atbara & Stetait Dam Residential Township Sanitary Sewer Network & Water Supply Network –
Mar 2015
The project is to construct a PVC wastewater gravity network for a township to be collected to a lift sump of
a wastewater treatment plant. Also to connect the component a water supply network of different sizes and
fittings.
- I checked the documentation of the Change Orders.
- I revised the design of the gravity network against slope and to be as less deep as it can, and
provide the consultant with my notes.
- I prepared the regular payments of work done.
- I prepared the termination claims of the company from the Client due to lack of finance for the
project.

 Sinnar & Asalayah Industrial Wastewater Treatment Ponds - 2011


The project is to provide and construct double diversion lines of a sugar factory industrial wastewater from
a canal to a series of treatment ponds, including screen chamber, manholes, measuring structure & PVC
Pipe lines.
- I learn (for the first time) how to manage a project which is not my living city.
- I select between the prices of the materials with the prices at the site city (studying options to make
better decisions – cost, time, & quality).

 Police Academy – Construction of Wastewater and Irrigation Networks & Rehabilitation of Existing
Extended Aeration Wastewater Treatment Plant – 2008
This project is consisted of rehabilitation of the civil works (mainly concrete tanks) of an existing treatment
plant (Extended Aeration), electromechanical units of the plant, constructing of a collecting sewer network,
constructing of an irrigation tank that collect the treated water, and the irrigation network.
- I was responsible for concrete repair of the plant tanks that constructed by other contractor.
- I was revised the process of the treatment and discussed with the electromechanical parties to
check or replace the unit that affect the running of the plant.
- I was responsible of construction of the additional concrete tanks (Irrigation & collecting tanks).
- I was responsible to issue and follow the project payments with the Client.

 Mohammed Salih Omer MBR Wastewater Treatment Plant Project & Operation - 2008
The is a wastewater treatment plant served a student dormitory, the plant capacity was 600 cum/d and
using a MBR (Membrane Bio Reactor) technology, with a collecting lines and an irrigation line.
- I was responsible of the contacts with the overseas subcontractor to and ensure that the units
which will be shipped was adequate to run the plant as it should (during design and purchasing of
the parts).
- I was responsible of construction of the concrete structures of the plant.
- I was responsible to take the right actions to ensure the quality of the product water.
- I was monitoring the daily work of the operators of the plant.

 Ali Abd AlFattah Extended Aeration Wastewater Treatment Plant Project & Operation – 2005
The project was to solve treatment of the wastewater of a student hostel, the traditional ways of treatment
cannot treat the capacity of the volume of wastewater. This project was a capacity of 400 cum/d using a
“Extended Aeration”. This is a complete treatment plant with electromechanical units. The project included
an irrigation pipeline of the treated water outside the plant area.
- This the first time to work of this type of projects.
- I was responsible to review the subcontractor’s design with the client.
- I was the coordinator between our company and the subcontractor.

- I was the Resident Engineer of the project and I was responsible for the labour and constructing of
all of the Civil Works of the plant.
- I was responsible for the operation of the plant for two years after the handover.
- I was responsible to take a correction actions during the daily operation to ensure the quality of the
treated water.

 Aluminium Cladding Projects – (2003-2007)


These were number of small projects that using Aluminium composite panels for cladding purposes of
stores and small buildings.
- I was responsible of pricing the project and issue the periodic payments
- I was responsible to supervise the erection of the cladding on walls.
- I was responsible to provide solution of how to implement the special curves of the elevations.

 Private Subcontractor – (2001)


This project a construction of a multi-storey building to be used as school, my work as a subcontractor for
DanFodio Contracting Company that distributed some works of the project to many subcontractors to
accelerate their work.
- I was responsible to supervise casting of isolated footings, short columns, grade beam.
- I was responsible to issue the payments to the main contractor, and pay for the direct labours of my
side.

 Batching Plant Engineer – National Electric Corporation (2000)


The project was to cast a concrete foundation of an electrical turbine, the casting of the foundation should
be continuously and controlled in its temperature. To execute the project a mobile batching plant was to set
in a location nearest the site to prevent traffic congestion and to decrease the possibility of losing mixers
due to mechanical faults on the road.
- I was responsible to check the temperature not exceeding certain boundaries.
- I was responsible to check the water volume to ensure the strength of the concrete.
- I was responsible to check the cement content of the mix.
- I was responsible to report any mixer or any other problems to the higher administration level to
solve as soon as possible.

 Site Engineer – (2000)


This project was a pilot project of small steel markets using curved cold formed sections.
- I was responsible to set the points of the structure on the ground.
- I was supervising the manufacturing of the steel sections using a special mobile machine.
- I was responsible to provide how to implement the special curves of the elevations.

 Part-time Teaching Assistant: Nov 1998 – Jul 1999


Part-time Teaching Assistant for “Civil Engineering Dept. Faculty of Engineering & Architecture at
University of Khartoum” Khartoum, SUDAN
